New smaller pen has arrived

My 10 pen arrived today, very clearly a much shorter pen than usual so the bonus dose is definitely gone.

Would you be able to upload a picture @MiniCoopers I'm curious as to how they've changed it. What's the dose and the expiry date, and if you don't mind, what supplier?

I’ve just received a 5mg pen today from Pharmulous and it’s still the old pen with 5 doses. I guess the new ones will start arriving gradually as stocks of the old style run out.

I have just received a new 10mg this morning from Swift. It is also the usual design as before, so will be able to do 5 doses out of it. It has an expiry date of 04/2027.

I read that the pen size will stay the same but the amount of liquid will be reduced, so far my pens have had the same amount of liquid in them, new pen arrived yesterday with the usual amount of liquid in - the use by date was 04/27. Eli Lilly have not given a date for release of the reduced volume pen in the UK as yet.

Yeah, I'm not entirely convinced by @MiniCoopers post. Hasn't returned with any further info/evidence since initial post yesterday morning. The new volume is being released imminently in Europe first (Austria maybe? I forget, i did share previously), then in UK at a date still to be announced, no suggestion that pens will be shorter, just slightly different internal mechanism and liquid volume. No other reports on Reddit or here of anyone receiving a different pen from Dec stock.

No, no image as I don’t keep the old pens or boxes 🤷‍♀️ I have also been working and so only come on when I can. All I can tell you is my new pen appears much smaller than usual, not much I can add to that.

I was interested in an image of the new pen that you've just got, @MiniCoopers not the old ones.

Let's see then.. take a pic of this new smaller pen you have as I didn't even think they have been approved for shipping yet.

I’m pretty sure the last two 10mg pens I’ve purchased (I bought two because I’m going on a long holiday and I’ve had two doses from the first) don’t look like they have the extra dose. Maybe it’s effecting the 10mg pens first.

@Icanthinkformyselfthanks seems unlikely when the 10mg pen I got today and the 10mg one last month, both with expiry dates into 2027 were completely normal and unchanged.

Can you share a pic with a measuring tape beside it?

Well, we don't really "need" but would like to see. As you will know @MiniCoopers people who use Mounjaro are very interested when/how the pens will change.

But, this is also (at least) the 3rd such thread in as many months. From OP's so quick, keen and enough time to post but then always far too busy to follow up their threads. It is not surprising more information is being asked for.

Combined with the fact it is not being discussed on reddit where there are many more Mounjaro users, it’s reasonable to say that without more details, there is a possibility you are simply mistaken.

@Icanthinkformyselfthanks perhaps! But the expiry dates seem quite far into 2027 for old stock. Anyway, it’s all a bit moot as I suspect that the pen design has not actually changed as yet in the UK.

I thought my last pe was smaller and posted but realised I was probably wrong and added that to the post.
I was definitely wrong and got the full extra dose. Mines a 15 pen and I am expecting a new one in the next few days

I received a new 5mg pen from same supplier as last month and it all looks the same, although thr last few pens have had expiry 04/27 whereas this one is 11/26. I imagine it'll be well publicised when it does finally happen.
