For those who are looking for some tough love, home truths, accountability and a digital head wobble. Please join if you also need this like me, wherever you are on your journey. Ask for support or encouragement or if you feel like you've messed up the day.

This is not the thread if you're looking for passive "it will be OK" comments. This is a kick up the ass thread. (Please always be polite.)

I'll start, after an indulgent Christmas, I'm back on the horse and am desperate to make sure that one week of chocolate doesn't turn into one month of snacking. I'm 7 stone down and didn't get this far to only get this far.

Are you on mounjaro or wegovy? I maintained my weight over the Christmas period despite a few extra chocolates.

Good. You’re back on the horse, that fucking matters. A week of chocolate doesn’t undo 7 stone, but letting it quietly drag on would. You’ve already made the right call.

Now don’t overthink it and don’t wobble. Eat like the person who lost the weight, not the one who snacked her way through Christmas. No drama, no “one last treat”, no sliding.

You didn’t come this far to only get this far.
You’re back on, now stay the fuck there. 💪

(is that the tough love you are looking for, poor man’s Team RH……… maybe missed the polite bit 🤣)

What meds are you on? Im on MJ happy to be your getting back on the horse buddy! Well done on 7 stone that’s bloody awesome

Some advice I heard recently that rang true for me was that when we have over indulged with treat foods is not to try to counter it with a period of deprivation, that always leads to the kind of behaviour that got us overweight in the first place.

Instead to see it as a time when we haven't given our body the nourishment it needs so counter it with a time of providing extra nutrients so filling up on whole, natural protein and fibre based foods. The focus is on taking care of ourselves, not some kind of punishment.

7 stone is awesome! Glad you’re back on it now. It’s a slippery slope.

I lost 6 stone last year and for some unfathomable reason decided to go down to 5mg at the start of December to maintain. Was doing okay (and fighting the return in some food noise) until Xmas.. over 5 days have put on 7lb despite not going as mad as other years. Anyway I’m back up to 7.5mg tomorrow and shifting that 7lb (and will reconsider maintenance again later on at a time of year that doesn’t coincide with food being everywhere!)

Get back on the horse now and set yourself a target for the end of January.
I will set myself a target of a 7lb loss for January.
