Well done to everyone for getting this far and thank you for your company.

Sorry @Kazzaa46, just realised I’ve cropped the above pic too much. 😳

On the plotter website I typed injecting 7.5mg MJ once every 7 days over 6 weeks and it shows how much MJ is in your system at the beginning compared to 3 weeks later.

I think it helps to explain how the drug builds up over time and the surge you get within 24 hrs of injecting that takes you to over 10mg.

So, I don’t think it’s got anything to do with you dosing 7.5mg from a 5mg pen but the expected cumulative effect after 3 weeks.

The sudden cliff drop after 5 days makes me wonder if I’d be better off injecting 3mg every 5 days instead of 3.5mg every 7 days? I might try that when I get back from my trip to the UK. 🤔

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 06/04/2026 16:20

@Chopsy123 @Kazzaa46

Thats why I have ended up jabbing between 5-7 days and stayed on 3.75mg. I found 4.25mg too strong during the first few days and I felt that I wasn’t eating enough compared to my exercise levels. I didn’t really have any side effects, it was just the strong suppression I wasn’t comfortable with. I have noticed that if I have a good week, I don’t need to bring the jab day forward but especially during the week before my period is due, I quite often need the extra boost!

Chopsy123 · 08/04/2026 17:17

That’s very helpful @SnowWhiteisMyFavourite 👍

I’ve been looking at the glp plotter website and I think I’m going to play around with dosing and no. of days as the wave variance between full suppression and minimal suppression should be less severe. I take my MJ on a Friday evening and I’m often quite ravenous by Thursday.

JustPickleRick · 09/04/2026 15:32

Talking of number of days... I usually jab on a friday but was away so jabbed on monday which is 3 days late. I'm actually struggling this week with headaches and feelings very full which i've not had since starting. Struggling to eat 3 meals a day. No clue why though 🫠
I'm wondering if friday when I jab again i'm going to feel even worse.
Thinking this may be a good time to go down my doses back to 3.75 as i'm now wanting to maintain.
Anyone else had similar when they've delayed jabbing?

Pinkbox · 09/04/2026 23:05

I think I have stalled at 4lb above what BMI tells me is healthy weight range. Back in 1998 when I went to WW the exact
thing happened, I never hit their target, which was the same as I have now.

I am thinking I won’t buy another 5mg pen and instead
will start using the 2.5mg I have in the fridge, maybe every 5 days. Does this sound like a good
maintenance plan? I have plucked five days from the air! I would
love to lose the last 4lb but am unsure buying more expensive pens every month is going to do it (I have to buy from Asda
due to my medical history so it’s pricey).

I’m hoping that I can continue my diet and eating regime on 2.5 and either keep this weight or slow slowly lose the last few pounds. Am I on the right track does anyone know?

Pinkbox · 09/04/2026 23:05

Sorry - The formatting is incredibly weird for some reason!

GhostOrchid · 10/04/2026 11:51

I’m about 2lb down on last week, I actually weighed a bit more this morning than I did when I did a midweek weigh in on Tuesday but there’s only about half a pound in it so I’m not going to worry too much. I’m in the next kg down bracket which is the main thing. Plus it’s been Easter so there’s been chocolate eggs, hot cross buns, fatty roast lamb and I made (an excellent) potato dauphinoise on Easter Sunday. I enjoyed all these things in moderation, but it’s probably not been the best week eating wise, and I’ve also been pretty sedentary. Really need to force myself out for a walk, particularly when I’m working from home.

SW: 109 kg
CW: 84.5 kg
interim GW: 76 kg

Still technically obese with a BMI of 31.6. I think my next milestone will be to get it below 30.

Chopsy123 · 10/04/2026 15:07

@Pinkbox I’m going to start taking 3mg of MJ every 6 days for about 3 weeks to see how that affects things as my loss is very slow at the moment, barely 0.5 -1lb a week.

Looking at the plotter website, you can see roughly how much MJ is in your system depending on the amount jabbed and the frequency of jabbing. I compared jabbing 3mg, 3.5mg and 3.75mg over 5, 6 and 7 days and decided that jabbing 3mg every 6 days should give me a fairly consistent amount of suppression without risking major side effects and reducing the huge peaks and troughs.

The problem is, I think I would need a bigger pen for that and I haven’t bought another 5mg as I have plateaued for a month and I don’t think it’s worth it. I have two 2.5 Pens in the fridge from when I went up to 5mg. So that’s what I’m trying to make a plan with.

I do find that plotting site really difficult to work out, maybe it’s because it’s on my phone. I don’t understand what some of the sections are asking for when you fill your dose, etc. Maybe I need to read the instructions 🙃

If my strongest available dose is 2.5, maybe I need to start by dosing every four days, w Which would bring me in just under 5 mg a week. I don’t know, it’s a gamble because I haven’t hit my target but I just don’t seem to ever get there.

Chopsy123 · 11/04/2026 12:43

@Pinkbox Due to the way the drug accumulates in your system, you’d have almost 5.5mg in your system as the peak dose after 24hrs if you dosed every 4 days.

If you dose 2.5mg every 5 days, your peak dose will be around 4.6mg in your system.

Thanks so much for the screenshots. This will help me also fill in what I’m getting now, so I can have a look at what my peak dose is and work out what I want to go down to. This is really useful 😃

Hello and hope you remember me 😘

I’m sorry I went awol on the previous thread but life gets in the way as we all know.

I don’t even recall at what point where I left but in short I finished MJ mid dec as I just wanted to enjoy Xmas. I gained 4lbs and started again early Jan and quickly got it off. Hubby and I then ran out of pens and thought we’d try by ourselves but here I am again, that same 4lbs back on.

I know it’s only 4lbs but to recap at 4ft 11 and current weighing in 10.4 I think I’m around 29 bmi?!

I took my 2.5 yesterday and just about starting to feel the effects. Last time I had terrible sulphur burps so I’m praying that they don’t come back.

onwards and downwards 🥳

Kazzaa46 · 15/04/2026 19:44

I’ve finally reached my target weight 🎉

7 months and 3 stone down. Moving to 7.5mg finally got those last few pounds off.

Yay @Kazzaa46well done!!! Must feel amazing 🤩

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 18/04/2026 09:06

Morning all!

I have had a very frustrating few weeks as my weight has been zigzagging:

my weight in April so far:
01/04 82.8kg
03/04 81.5kg.
04/04 82.6kg
09/04 81.3kg
13/04 82kg
this morning (and yesterday) 81.8kg

on the dates between, the weight was either been moving up or down towards the weight I’ve written down.

I know I should be more positive and focus on the 1kg loss since the 1st which is still 0.5kg per week instead of looking this from negative point of view. But it’s hard!!!

And Im not sure what’s causing this. Calories in/out and deficit have remained consistent on the tracker. Water intake unchanged, exercise calories similar, only thing changed is that my running time and mileage is increasing. But I’m taking this into consideration as my walking mileage is declining so calorie deficit is unchanged.

I’m going to give it another week and then increase my dose. I’m still on 3.75mg jabbing every 5-7 days so maybe it’s time to adjust that.

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 18/04/2026 09:11

@Kazzaa46 well done 🎉🎉🎉 what’s your plan for maintenance? Was your target weight low/mid/high end of the healthy BMI?

My target weight is top end of healthy so it doesn’t allow much buffer between healthy and overweight BMI but I’m hoping that it will be easier for me to maintain at that level.

threescoops · 18/04/2026 09:46

@SnowWhiteisMyFavourite I’m the same, been going up and down by a pound or two around 180 lbs for about 5 weeks now :( 52 lbs lost, 19 lbs to go

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 18/04/2026 13:39

@threescoops quite funny that we’re stuck exactly at the same point and both are aiming to very similar weight (I’m happy to settle around 75kg).

my calories out are averaging about 2300 and I’m eating around 1500. So even if my calories out are slightly over reading, deficit should be consistent. Fingers crossed that we both move on soon 🤞

threescoops · 18/04/2026 15:29

I also had side effects for the first time about 3 weeks ago (constipation, dry sore mouth), better now. Also had hair shedding, which I don’t think is the MJ per se as much as the result of 6 months calorie deficit. Maybe our bodies have reached a point where they need to readjust and recover a bit before the loss resumes. I hope. Surely it must!

OneDayIWillLearn · 18/04/2026 16:01

Funnily enough it’s a similar story with me - I’ve been buzzing around 10 stone 11-13lbs for a whole month now! A couple of weeks with 1/2 lb losses, then a week of 1.5lbs gained, then a teeny bit off again.

In my case…

  1. my eating was pretty off piste for the two weeks the kids were off school for Easter hols, so in some ways I feel I have got off lightly. We had back to back guests and nights away for nearly the whole fortnight and I had wine nearly every day and chocolate most days too!
2 Now I am only 5 or so lbs off target (and within healthy BMI - current sitting about 24) I do think I’ve lost a sense of urgency and it feels natural it has slowed down.

I am not really mentally ready for the transition to maintenance yet anyway if I’m honest! I still don’t really have a strategy other than wanting to stay on MJ at some level.

I’m hoping a more normal few weeks will get the scales moving down again though and I will be able settle around or just below 10 stone 7lbs.

Even in the high 10s where I am now, this is the lowest I’ve been for years though and in some ways I’m quite happy just to enjoy that. I went to a black tie event on Thursday and it was just lovely to wear a size 12 dress, zero angst about how fat I look, and I just enjoyed myself without worrying all the time. Never thought I’d see the day!

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 18/04/2026 09:11

My target weight is top end of healthy so it doesn’t allow much buffer between healthy and overweight BMI but I’m hoping that it will be easier for me to maintain at that level.

Thank you. I’m right in the middle of the healthy BMI range. I’m in a size 10 which I’m amazed about, haven’t been that size since my early 20s, and I’m now 47!
I have 4 weeks left of 7.5mg so am going to use that, my losses have been slow so at most I’ll lose another 2lb, which I don’t mind as a buffer. Then I’m going to reduce to 5mg as my maintenance dose, I didn’t lose on that dose for a couple of months before moving up so it seems to be a good maintenance dose for me.
I don’t plan to come off it but if I can eventually get down to 2.5mg that would be ideal.

GhostOrchid · 18/04/2026 20:41

I too feel like I’ve been stuck between 85 and 84kg. I’ve been doing more frequent weight checks and I’m hovering between these poles. Haven’t managed to get below 84 yet. However I’ve had a Big Birthday this week so eating and drinking has been a bit (a lot) out of the norm.

OneDayIWillLearn · 19/04/2026 08:29

Also well done @Kazzaa46!!

Chopsy123 · 20/04/2026 08:10

@lulu1921 Hi and welcome back. 👋

Had you reached your chosen goal weight when you stopped taking MJ in December or did you want to try and manage without it?

Realistically, I think I’ll be on it long term after reaching maintenance, although I’m hoping I’ll eventually get used to a completely different relationship with food. I was away last week and took my pen with me and jabbed on my usual day. Still managed to have ice-cream on a couple of occasions and have lost 1lb this week, so very happy with that. 😁

Chopsy123 · 20/04/2026 08:28

Well done @Kazzaa46 🌟 👏👏👏

Time to treat yourself to a new wardrobe now we’ve definitely moved into Spring. Is there anything you’ve got your eye on?

I was back in England last week visiting family (London & South) and as I’m still hoping to lose at least another 2 stones, I didn’t buy any clothes but I did go a bit overboard on make-up!! I’m 60 and unofficially retired for a few years so looked a bit Bag Lady in stretchy clothes. The New ME is making more effort with my appearance now and my make up bag was full of old mascaras and lippy that needed chucking out. The family have definitely noticed a big difference as I already look slimmer and more polished.
