Did a sneaky mid-week weigh in this morning and delighted to report I am officially in one-der land! Only just, mind. 199.5lbs or 90.4kg. Hoping I can maintain that or lose a bit more before I officially weigh again on Friday and that Pancake Day doesn’t derail me too much. Really looking forward to getting into the 80s in kgs. It will be a very meaningful threshold for me as pretty all my adult life I’ve been 90kg+.

Chopsy123 · 17/02/2026 11:57

@Atalosswhat2do I can’t even imagine being a size 6/8 so incredibly well done you ! 👏👏👏🌟

namechange0998776554799000 · 17/02/2026 13:02

I did my second jab of 7.5 yesterday and today I am so unwell! Extremely nauseous and dizzy and I've just been fast asleep all morning!

I've been unwell with a cold for the last few days so I'm wondering if it's the combination of jabbing when already unwell? I feel like I've read a few people on this thread mention having more side effects when they've had a bug, on various different doses over the months we've been on MJ.

I had been really pleased with the 7.5 after no side effects last week so I'm loathe to reduce the dose, but I can't risk being this ill again next week.

Atalosswhat2do · 17/02/2026 23:16

That’s fantastic results @Chopsy123 totally get you on the photo’s thing! The only pics I have done is a daily face one.

I am struggling to get my head to accept my new size! I haven’t been this size as an adult so it’s a bit of a headfuck to be honest working out how to dress this new body. I am having to find a ‘style’ at 42 for a body that’s alien to me!

@GhostOrchid well done! You’re not far at all from that 80’s goal!

@namechange0998776554799000 there are so many bugs going around! I hope it’s just that, and you stay side effect free.

@familyornot well done on your loss! I’m on the same trajectory as you, I’ve just gone past a 5st loss. I started at a plus size 22–24 and now I’m a size 18 in the normal range (White Stuff, M&S etc.). It was a great feeling to buy new clothes so enjoy your shopping trip!

What’s your target weight? My next goal is 13st, and I’ll reassess the next steps when I get there.

Well done! 5st is just such a huge loss! My next target is 13st 4lbs, then after that it should be my final target but I feel like it’s still too much of a jump. I’m so impatient! It’s such a strange feeling moving down through the stones isn’t it? I was a 22-24 and now I’m an 18 comfortably, but I fit into size 16 in Asda jeans on Saturday and also in Next skinny jeggings. I couldn’t believe it! I hadn’t been clothes shopping in years and was dreading it but it was actually ok in the end.

Next week I’m going on holiday with my family, I have to wear a swimsuit and it’s the first time I’m not terrified, it’s a much nicer feeling. I didn’t realise how much my weight has been controlling my life.

I’ve been similar with 7.5mg and keep moving up and down, I’ve moved back up this week as I had no loss last week but I’ve felt rotten. I don’t want to stop just yet though. I feel for you, it’s so unpleasant.

namechange0998776554799000 · 18/02/2026 07:36

I'm definitely going to move down next week, probably to about 6mg, and I'm sure it's the MJ rather than a bug, although I expect the bug hasn't helped. Looking at Shotsy my levels reached 10mg yesterday so I can understand why it affected me this week and not last week, when the cumulated levels would have been a bit lower. I've never been as ill as I was yesterday, I vomited and slept all day and couldn't even keep water down. Fingers crossed I think I'm feeling a bit better today.

It's really disappointing because the suppression was excellent on 7.5mg and really poor by the end of 5mg, but I think I just need to find my sweet spot. Did you go right back down to 5mg @familyornotor did you try something in the middle?

OneDayIWillLearn · 18/02/2026 15:33

Weigh-in yesterday saw another 1lb off bringing me to 11 stone 7lbs, 3 lbs off healthy BMI now. My next target was to be in the lower half of the 11s before a 10K running event I’ve entered on March 8th, so nice to feel well on track for that.

Having said that….I’ve been struggling this week! Half term, and had guests staying the last three nights, so drinking and entertaining on days I usually wouldn’t. Had a couple of homemade pancakes for breakfast yesterday (never usually eat breakfast). Weather is cold, children off school and constantly asking for snacks. Not sure if it’s this or that I need to edge my dose up but I’m feeling much more tempted than usual!! I’ve kept on 50 clicks from 5mg since before Christmas and have also kept thinking it might be time to go up. But my losses have stayed quite good and I’ve also kept having things on which have made me think ‘better leave it another week’ so haven’t.

I’m not due to jab again until Sunday so I’ll just have to ride this week out I think but it’s a reminder of the bad old days!!

bluepaperwaspofbxl · 18/02/2026 17:01

I'm still fairly plateaued, so im going up to 7.5mg from 5mg this week. 5mg has been accompanied by many horrible migraines. I'm hoping this won't be the case when I do what for me, will be the biggest single increase since I started in September. I have read that people who suffer on 5mg, often feel better on 7.5mg, so here's hoping.

Kazzaa46 · 18/02/2026 17:58

I increased from 5mg to 6mg last Tuesday and took 6.5mg last night.
The day after I took 6mg I felt it was working better but the rest of the week was no different to the 5mg. Took 6.5mg last night and so far it feels no different to 5mg but may take a while to kick in!

SoUncertain · 18/02/2026 23:02

How much protein do you all get and HOW??? I have been really trying to maximise mine this week and I've been eating like 75-105g of protein, but apparently it's recommended to have about 1g per lb of target weight, so for me that would be about 140g. Feels impossible!

Chicken, steak, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, get pro yoghurt drinks. I probably have about 60g per day on a good day. The yogurt drinks are easy as they are 25g in one drink.

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 19/02/2026 00:23

@SoUncertain I’m aiming for 80g-120g per day, mainly from chicken, tuna, salmon, cottage cheese and Greek yogurt. I also have protein yogurts and puddings to top this up and I make my own smoothies with added protein.

Your progress is amazing @Atalosswhat2do, well done!

I'm feeling quite dizzy this week. Haven't changed dose for a while. Don't know if anyone else has experienced similar and worked out the cause? I'm not eating crazy low calories, still have the odd processed thing so salt/sugars aren't non-existent.

outofofficeagain · 19/02/2026 18:37

I’m quite dizzy too and still on same dose. Not terribly but sometimes do sway a bit when I get up!

I get dizzy, but I have low iron so I assume that's why

Kazzaa46 · 19/02/2026 19:29

I get dizzy spells too that come and go. Usually after standing up. Oddly they seem to have stopped after upping my dose but that may be coincidence as it can happen for a week, then stop for a bit and come back etc

I didn’t - my plan was to try the 7.5mg again this week and then microdose next week if I couldn’t cope. The first 2 days were a bit ropey but I’ve been ok for the rest of the week, I jab on Sunday but today I feel like the suppression is good and I don’t feel sick. I’ll do 7.5mg on Sunday again and see how I go.

familyornot · 20/02/2026 07:19

I had a bit of a dizzy week a few weeks ago, when I first tried 7.5mg. It hasn’t been back since so I put it down to just being under the weather.

I’d make sure it isn’t because you’re lacking in iron etc like previous posters have suggested. I think that’s a big risk for most of us. It could also be dehydration, maybe try some electrolytes.

familyornot · 20/02/2026 07:25

7.5mg seems to have been a lot better for me this week, I was apprehensive because a few weeks ago it made me feel rotten. Ive settled into it ok this time and suppression has been high but not bad enough to stop me eating at all. I think I just moved up too soon last time.

ST: 18 stone 6lbs (21/09/25) (19stone 11lbs 04/24)
CW: 14 stone 4lbs

Size 22/24 to size 16 😊

Gah, official weigh day and back up to 91kg, same as I was last Friday. On Pancake Day my sister in law came stay for a couple of days (half term) and brought wine and baked goods and always wants to cook, and she’s a great cook. Also went to pub after work last night and had a couple of gins. So across the second half of the week a lot more alcohol, carbs and fat than I would usually have, I noticed I didn’t feel much suppression the last few days either and really felt quite hungry. Bit annoying as it’s only my third week on 7.5mg. I have had weeks like this before though. Might be due a period.

Really hoping I can break through the 91-90 barrier as it’s kind of my old set point.

Oh well. Jab today and we go again.

SoUncertain · 20/02/2026 13:04

Thanks everyone! I do take a multivitamin and iron supplement most days (should be every day but I don't always remember!). Maybe I should get some bloods taken soon. I read another website that a plateau followed by decent loss might mean you body was holding water then released it, which could lower blood pressure a bit. That would fit with this week, but not sure how true it is!

To be honest it's the extra carbs/alcohol that will likely be driving your additional hunger. I found the same. When you go back to eating more healthily and higher protein, you will probably find it becomes more effective. Good luck for this week!
