Berberine patches - formerly Weightloss? Are these any good?

I only need to lose a stone, stone and half really.

£10.20 for 30 patches a month!

Im 56 and taking Exemestane (drugs to stop cancer returning ) so weight loss is unbelievably slow. I lost 10lb last year but it took me 5 month to lose it!

No. There’s no evidence that putting a tiny amount of berberine on your skin will help with weight loss above the placebo effect.

Berberine might help with appetite, but you’d be better off buying high strength tablets from places like Holland & Barrett and taking it orally. It’s cheaper and if there’s any kind of effect it would be more likely to be noticeable. There is no good evidence for any of the claims around berberine and weight loss though.

You can also buy liquid berberine, some folks say it works, did nothing for me, but that’s the strongest you can get it.

as a pp said, rubbing a little on your skin is going to do nothing for you, else we’d all be bathing in it. All these patches are just nonsense, the glp ones are laughable, that’s rubbing cinnamon etc on your skin

they are cheap as it’s just playing into peoples needs.

Thanks. I knew this really hence my question and not just automatically buying some.

Im going to try cutting my calorie intake down for a few weeks and see if I can lose a few pounds - but I know it will be a slow and extremely frustrating attempt.
