Bolt delivery question

Mezzoprezzo · 08/12/2025 11:34

Does anyone know if bolt require a signature at delivery or will they leave it in a safe place? I want to switch to them as they're the cheapest but generally wouldn't be in when they deliver. Thanks

Hi they needed a signature for my delivery.

I needed to sign for mine. Royal Mail wouldn’t leave it without so also missed it the first day. But they are the cheapest and I’ve had really good experience with them.

Thanks. So they use royal mail? They're happy to leave in a safe place in my area so it looks like it's bolt that want a signature. So annoying as they seem really good.

They use Royal Mail. I ordered on Friday and it was delivered Sunday morning, with all the usual puffin packaging inside a cardboard box. I signed for it.

Bolt was the only provider I've used so far that have required a signature. Otherwise very good though! Can you get a neighbour to sign for you if you won't be there?

My postie never asked for a signature, but he never does for anything…. I’ve had deliveries from Medexpress, lotus and bolt and he will leave them for me if I am not in…

My bolt order, which arrived yesterday, came via DPD and needed a signature.

It depends what service they use:

Tracked 24 - will leave it in a safe place.

Tracked 24 with sig - may leave in a safe space, but shouldn't. Depends on postie.

Special Delivery - will insist on signature, won't deliver to neighbour or safe space (postie could get sacked). If you are not in it will go back to depot and they will try again next day.

If you check your tracking, it will tell you the service used 👌

My Bolt order was left on the doorstep. But our postman happily fakes signatures if he knows you’re happy with it being left.

Because I wasn't sure if I was going to be in, I arranged for mine to be delivered to my local post office.

You can do this once you receive the notification email from Royal Mail
