Bolt pharmacy - no needles.

Been on Mounjaro best part of a year, various providers. Always been sent needles/swabs. After a break, I switched over to Wegovy and received my first pen with Bolt. The box stated ‘needles/swabs in pouch with medication’ however none were there.

Bolt are saying it’s up to the manufacturer to supply the needles and I’d have to purchase them instead. Has anyone else had this? I find it baffling that they won’t just send me a few needles as every other provider has supplied them free of charge? Is it really up to the Wegovy manufacturer?

I got my most recent order from bolt and there was a plastic bag with needles and swabs in. It was outside the cool bag - have you checked you definitely didn't throw it away by accident?

Checked everywhere, even took the wool out the bag.

Im on MJ but did get one pen without needles,
just ordered a box of 100 from another online pharmacy, just check the mm needed

Just received an order of MJ from bolt - needles and swabs were in there - separate bag with needles and swabs.

I got a delivery from them this week too - needles and swabs were included but outside the wool wrapping.

Wegovy needles are packaged inside the pen box. Open it up to find it inside there. There are 4 in a white cardboard long tube like box.

I’m such an idiot!!! They are there 🙈. I assumed it was like Mounjaro and I’ve been umming and aahhing about whether to wait until after Christmas or not so I hadn’t opened the box. Thanks @Mysticmaiden🥴

I bet a lot get caught out like that. No its manufacturer supplied so goes into the actual sealed pen box. I was also on mj before it.

I'm surprised Bolt hadn't explained it better so you could find them!

I was about to today then realised I had 3 unused needles from previous Mounjaro. I know, they just said ‘not our problem’ and gave me the email address to the manufacturer. Who said I’ve to return to the whole box/medication. So thanks again!

How are you finding the switch? I’ve not read a lot of good experiences.

I've had a really successful switch, only been in it a full 2 weeks now and went from 7.5-10mg, 7.5 maintenance and 10mg to lose to 1.7mg and have had very good suppression, better than 10mg mj without the nausea, better moods and way more energy, feel calmer and having less hair loss, it was pretty high hair loss everyday for 11 months on mj, even though im now probably having lower calories. But I was at bmi 23.4 when I switched, so had resolved my prediabetes and insulin resistance and wegovy doesn't activate GIP, which is better for blood sugar control, so I think this is why im doing so well on it.

Oh brilliant. I had such bad side effects on MJ that I’m hoping this last stone - 2 stone can come off a bit better on Wegovy. Ive got PCOS and always suspected insulin resistance (weight comes off on an Atkins style diet which is impossible to stick to long term) so fingers crossed.

Yes I lose better on a higher protein site. Good luck! 👍
