Nausea and no real weight loss on 5mg... will moving to 7.5 mg be better?

Please help ladies, Im currently on my 3rd week of 5 mg. I have lost about 2lbs in those three weeks and about 14lbs in total, mostly on the 2.5 mg i was on the first month.
The food suppression was wearing off on it though which is why I moved up a dose.
The first 5mg injection I felt awful after and its got a bit better since then. I have good suppression but almost too strong as im not hungry at all and have to force myself to eat and after a few bites I feel sick, so takes ages to finish any food.
The barely being able to eat is making me feel weak and Idon't understand how I havent lost more weight when ive barely been able to eat anything.
My question is, what should I do?
Should I move up to 7 5mg and hope that it agrees with me better and helps with the weight loss or will the food suppression and nausea be worse on it? Thanks in advance to anyone who can advise

I wouldn’t go up a dose if you’re barely able to eat and you feel sick. The weight loss will come over time, 2lbs over three weeks isn’t nothing and I’m sure your weight loss will continue.

Thank you, I suppose i just dont want to drag out feeling like this if moving dose will agree with me more but I also dont want to feel worse! Definitely don't want more suppression

7.5mg is a higher dose of the same medication, so logically it isn't going to agree with you more than your current dose. A higher dose is likely to give you more suppression, and possibly more side effects.

I would give 5mg a chance to stabilise and see how your weight loss goes over the course of the next pen.

14 lbs in 7 weeks is an average of 2lbs per week, which is at the top end of an expected 1 to 2 lbs per week weight loss.

Yes I think youre right, thanks. I maybe will give it another month to try to settle down. I know that I had seen a few people mention that 5mg hadn't agreed with them in one way or another, which is why I'd thought of moving on

Ate you drinking enough water and eating enough protein? This will help with the feeling weak and weight loss as you could have water retention.
I agree with PP that the 14lbs loss is a high amount for less than 2 months so nothing to worry about. Your body is probably stabilising slightly.

Don’t move up yet op. In my experience it will make you feel more unwell. Keep going with the 5mg, track calories, stay hydrated and see how you feel in another month

Some people report that 5mg seems to affect their appetite less so weight loss slows down. That’s not what’s happening for you.

With the symptoms you’ve got, it’d be inadvisable to move up, it’ll make everything worse.

5mg makes people feel worse than 2.5 mg because it's more medication so 7.5 mg can't make you feel better than 5mg. If you're barely eating then you'll be losing fat. Be patient and keep at it. Don't go up until you're stabilised on this dose AND feel the effects are wearing off.

I have stayed on 5mg since June. I have gone up to 7.5mg and even tried 10 but come back to 5mg. No one has to go up to 15mg. I'd give it a bit longer. I was really ill the night I took my first 5mg dose. It settles down.

Thanks for the suggestions, I do actually struggle to get enough protein sometimes as im not a big meat eater and could also increase my drinking, I didnt think of water retention

Please be patient. I don't know how much you're aiming to lose but 1-2 lb a week is absolutely fine. I know some will report losing stones in weeks but that's usually when they are v v morbidly obese with many to shed. I've been on it since April, lost 2st 10.I've only just gone up to 7.5 after 3/4 months each on 2.5 and 5. I have about the same again to lose but won't go higher and may come back to 5 for cost reasons. Try a protein yoghurt once or twice a day to up your intake.
