Following gastrology

I had to stop Mounjaro & Lansoprazole for 3 weeks before my gastrology camera thingy. My GP says to turn down 5mg but I've forgotten how many times to get about 3+ this time. According to my results I have mild gastritis probably caused by Mounjaro & multiple stomach polyps due to 17 years of Lansoprazole. My GP says I need the Lansoprazole due to my medium sized Hiatus hernia. Both Gastrologist Consultant & GP says to continue with Mounjaro but start slowly again. 🤷‍♀️. I want to carry if I can because Ive stalled at 3 atone loss & need 3 more stone off especially for my knees.

Really, if the GP told you to do a lower dose from a 5mg pen they should have told you how many clicks to turn to and what dose. It's a bit rubbish of them not to have been clear with you.

The calculation you need is:

(dose you want in mg / strength of pen in mg) x 60

That gives the number of clicks you would need.

So, from a 5mg pen, if you wanted a 3mg dose you would work out:

(3 / 5) x 60 = 36

So that would be 36 clicks from a 5mg pen, for a 3mg dose.
