Hi all, I have recently been accepted on the NHS Tier 3 Weight Loss plan and will be prescribed 0.25mg of Wegovy as of the end of December.
Obviously, I'm very grateful to get the weight loss injections for free but I'm nervous.
Since late July, I have been paying for Mounjaro. I did 2.5mg for the first four weeks and have remained on 5mg ever since. So far I have lost 3st 11bs.
I have been calorie counting, between 1000 and 1200 per day, I drink 3 litres of water per day and have radically changed the quality of my diet, with more fruit and veg, and protein and nothing ultra processed.
I have been very fortunate in that that Mounjaro killed my sweet tooth dead, and that was always my weakness.
I still have at least 6 or 7 stone to lose to be anywhere near a healthy BMI.
Having read quite a few accounts of the switch from MJ to Wegovy, I am quite worried that it won't be as effective and my work so far will be undone.
I have decided that I will use the transition as an opportunity to increase my fitness in the hope this might mitigate any shortfall.
Please, please, please tell me that some folks have had a good experience going over to Wegovy and that I am just being a worry-wart.
Thanks
