Hi guys

I've lost 8 stone currently on wegovy. Got another 2.5 stone to hit my goal weight.

If anyone has any questions on it please let me know :) xx

When you say you want to be there for your kids, does it mean that you weren’t fit enough to run around after them before?

I could but barely and not for long. I was also worried I was going down the path of a heart attack or something like that.

What is your plan once you reach your target weight?

I want to wean off the dose I'm on now and maintain my current diet. I have a half stone mindset where if I put on my 7 pounds buffer I will need to refocus. I also will continue counting calories

not fullproof by any means but it's a start.

Well done! Are you concerned that you’ve lost muscle because you havent exercised/ strength trained? It seems very important on the jabs

Stillpoor · 24/11/2025 09:33

Did you use the jabs.
Or did you do it the natural hard way.

SilenceInside · 24/11/2025 09:51

@Stillpoor The OP says in her opening post that she's on Wegovy which is a "jab"...

Well as this is in the weight loss injection board and she says she’s on wegovy, what would you guess?

Stillpoor · 24/11/2025 10:33

We have become a lazy nation.

I work hard for my wages to pay for this. I've dieted for years. I made the choice to ask for help and it's worked wonders for me. I wouldn't call that lazy. I still work hard to maintain my diet and exercise where I can. The jabs help but it doesnt do the work for you.

Go and troll somewhere else.

Ah sweetie, your envy as resentment is so clear in those few words. Sad for you.

Maybe a bit mentally lazy if this comment is anything to go by.

Im not trolling.
And I think its brilliant that we can get jabs, but not all of us need them, im not saying this is you.
Sounds like you are doing it the right way.
Some don't.

usedtobeaylis · 24/11/2025 11:22

OP did you have any plateau? I can't see where you would have given the time x loss but just curious.

So why the bitter little we have become a lazy nation comment, then the cringe worthy back tracking>

No questions for you, i just wanted to say well done and congratulations!

SeriouslyWot · 24/11/2025 11:49

Thats fantastic, well done. Did you see a loss straight away? Im starting 1.7mg next week and haven't lost anything so far. Am hopeful that the next pen will be the one!

Pipsqueaks1 · 24/11/2025 13:02

That’s amazing well done! I wondered if you found wegovy took awhile to have an effect? I moved from Mounjaro a couple of months ago and have read it takes a while to build up in your system. Did you find this.

I'm experiencing a plateau right now but im staying positive and just carrying on and hoping my weight loss will continue. I'm fine with a slower pace at the moment as im nearer to my goal and I don't feel unhealthy anymore. When I was bigger, a plateau would effect me quite badly.

I'm increasing my protein to hopefully help.

Yes i did, I lost 9 pounds my first week but I weighed 23 stone and my diet was atrocious. Wegovy has always had a big effect on me as well. From the first pen my appetite was at zero so that obviously helped with that loss. I've been at a 3/4/5 loss most weeks but its slowing now x

Good luck on your journey x

No, admittedly the effect for me was very strong straight away. I could barely keep food down, always on the loo etc. It did settle down as long as I ate very clean and healthy. As soon as anything high in fat passed my lips I was on the loo. That's why I stayed on the first dose for about 3 months. I'm now on 1.7 and have been for a while.

But weirdly wegovy didn't effect my mum at all 🤷‍♀️ its weird isn't it....
