Hi guys

I've lost 8 stone currently on wegovy. Got another 2.5 stone to hit my goal weight.

If anyone has any questions on it please let me know :) xx

What physical symptoms have you noticed, do you find everyday activities are easier now you’re lighter?

Has your brain caught up with the changes or are you still surprised when you look in the mirror?

What are you doing about clothes - are you just buying on Vinted as you go through each size until you reach your goal?

Anonymouskitty · 23/11/2025 17:39

I have a 4 year old and 18 month old so running after them has become a lot easier. I don't get breathless any more and my knees hurt a lot less. I can also carry them for longer.

Not really, I think ill always see a big girl looking back at me but think its to do with my confidence more than anything.

I'm still wearing some bigger clothes as they're cozy at the moment. I've bought a few small bits to tide me over in shein and vinted. I get all my kids clothes on vinted as well as it makes financial sense. While I still have weight to lose I don't want to buy too many bits yet.

Well done. Have you still got more to lose?

pepperminticecream · 23/11/2025 18:48

What are you doing about changing your mindset around eating and adopting a healthier diet? What is your physical movement/workout schedule?

toastandegg · 23/11/2025 18:49

I’m on week 10 of Wegovy and so far only lost 5lbs 😩 so well done! Any side effects?

JudgeBread · 23/11/2025 18:51

Do you have much loose skin? I have about 8 stone I'd like to lose but I'm terrified of the loose skin because I know I can't afford the surgery to remove it.

MayaPinion · 23/11/2025 18:51

When did people start noticing the weight loss? And how much did you lose before going down each size?

ineedteanownotlater · 23/11/2025 19:04

What side effects have you had?

I've been doing this since March 2025 so it's pretty ingrained now. I was/ am a binge eater so I've been focusing on portion control the most. I have a glass of water before every meal as it does help with the portion and more often than not I'm thirsty rather than hungry.

I don't actually do a dedicated workout but I walk the dog every day, run around after the kids at soft play etc...I'm too tired to go to the gym of an evening lol. I also limit myself to 3 meals a day and no snacks.

Well done, hopefully it will carry on. 5 pound loss is ever than a 5 pound gain xx

yes so when I started I was very nauseous and sick. I also had bad diarhea. I still get diarhea/ sick if I happen to eat something fatty / bad for you. However, if I eat clean and healthy I feel fine. The jab still makes me full very quickly which I suppose is a good side effect.

Not loose skin per se but I'm not toned at all. My legs are quite wobbly as is my tummy but no skin really sags boobs are another story though 😓

Do you tell people you are on wegovy or not? And do people ask how you have lost the weight?
Ive noticed people are really funny about the jabs. "You've taken the easy way out" etc. Like its a moral failing to take it.
I dont believe this personally. Ive had it said to me during my weight loss.

I d say around 3 stone maybe. I'm 6ft tall so hid my extra weight quite well, although looking back at photos I was shocked how big I really was.

I'm quite pear shaped so went down quicker on top, every 1.5/2 stone. Every 2.5/3 stone for my thighs and bum x

A lot of nausea, sickness and diarhea, I still get this if I eat fatty foods but eating clean means I am fine x

I have told my close family and friends, they were all supportive bar a couple. I've also had people be quite judgy but I feel like I was desperate enough to take them as I have been on every diet going throughout the years. And I feel like there's nothing wrong with asking for help. My mum ended up going on them as well as she was also struggling.

It's allowed me to be healthier and more present with my children and that's more important than people's views on my choices.

I hope you've had a successful journey on your jabs xx

How long did it take you to lose 8st? Well done that’s amazing.
Did you also use Mounjaro at all?

Aweekoffwork · 23/11/2025 20:56

What was your diet like before you started to lose weight?

I started at the end of March 25 so it's basically been 8 stone in 8 months which is just crazy to think about.

I've never used mounjaro and sort of glad with the price increases I was reading about.

What was your diet like before you started to lose weight?

Absolutely shocking and I feel shame and embarrassment thinking about it. I am/ was a binge water and I could eat the following on a bad day:-

Breakfast: sausage and egg mcmuffin, x2 hash browns
Snack: x2 slices white toast, butter, jam, chocolate bar
Lunch: Egg mayo sandwich, whole pack of biscuits
Tea: large spaghetti Bolognese, garlic bread, parmesan
cheesecake

😰😭

When you say you want to be there for your kids, does it mean that you weren’t fit enough to run around after them before?

What is your plan once you reach your target weight?
