Is anyone else on their second go at WLIs after reaching goal weight, stopping, and piling it all back on?

I lost four stone on Wegovy from Dec 2023 to July 2024. Soon after stopping, upheaval at work drove me to seek solace in the bottom of a crisp packet again, and work has been chaotic and stressful ever since. I’ve put on 2 and a half stone of the four lost, putting me back at a BMI of around 28.

I read somewhere that some providers will prescribe to a BMI of <30 with no medical complications IF you have been on WLI previously. So I went for it and Asda did indeed accept me (they asked for my previous highest weight, numerous photos, and proof of previous prescriptions).

I took my first jab last night and could feel the effects of it this morning (which was a relief as I was worried I might somehow be immune now!) and I’ve gone from feeling despair and kicking myself to feeling hopeful and motivated again.

If I’m completely honest, I did not do it properly last time. No lifestyle changes were made, I simply survived on coffee and cup-a-soups. I lost a load of weight, yes, but bits of me were wobbly and saggy which I’m hoping to avoid this time by adding in more protein and resistance training.

So that’s my story in a nutshell, I can’t be the only one. If you are also on your second go I’d love to hear how you’re getting along.
