Starting my journey imminently! My order was delivered last night and I popped it in the fridge but I've been too nervous to actually take the first dose.

Any advice? What time of day do you recommend taking it and what injection site, it says you can do thigh arm or belly?

Eek!

Just crack on and get it done. No need to worry about times or where to inject. You can do it at a different time, or even day, next week if you want, ditto for injection site.

I've always injected into my stomach, as it was the largest and easiest target area. But, it really doesn't matter, whatever you personally find easiest to do.

The longer you wait the longer you'll regret not starting earlier.
Make sure to read the information sheet several times and follow it in real time while carrying out your first few injections until you know it well.
Drink plenty of water and try to eat better and clean such as chicken and veg, to limit side effects.

Took my first dose last night. Absolutely nothing to be scared of I couldnt even feel it go in! Had to have blood thinners after my last baby and found those so painful, this was a breeze!

Woken up today feeling ok except a headache.

Keeping this as a bit of a diary I don't mind if no one reads it! Nausea set in after the school run and I've felt waves of sickness on and off all day. Made a smoothie with yogurt and berries for breakfast and had that with a coffee. Usually have 3 coffees a day but it made me feel more sick. Have some leftover tofu veg curry from yesterday so going to try a small portion of that for lunch.

Don't feel hungry just feel quite sick. But not too bad. Reminds me a bit of first trimester pregnancy! Headache has subsided.

Drink plenty of water, upto 2L a day, you can add electrolytes to help with headaches, try and limit coffee to 2 a day. I've never been pregnant but heard it feels like this. Try and eat little and often focusing on protein to limit muscle loss and keep blood sugars steady.

I started last week, 2nd jab today. Had some nausea, some upset stomach too but that's quite normal for me. Still felt hungry though not as much as normal. My portions have definitely been smaller. But still felt sweet tooth a bit argh!

One thing that's worried me Is a pinching feeling under left ribs after eating which can indicate pancreatitis but surely that would be a more consistent pain, more painful and not happen after just one 0.25 dose?! I think my health anxiety Is ramping up!

Day 2 today, I woke up and weighed in at 215.4lbs (3lbs down from yesterday) which I know will be water weight but is the lightest I've been since September 2023 🎉

No side effects yet today which I'm glad of as the nausea was pretty intense yesterday! I do feel less interested in food already which is so good. Yesterday I ate
Breakfast: yogurt & fruit smoothie
Lunch: tofu Thai curry with rice
Coffee & 2 biscuits
Dinner: 5 bean veggie chilli
A snack size twirl

And DIDN'T feel like I was missing out.

For me this is a really good day. Previously I was eating no proper meals and just bingeing on sugar. Sometimes I'd eat over 1000 calories of chocolate a day. If I knew we had it in the house I'd feel like I HAD to eat it. Last night we had chocolate cake and bars in the house as well as Halloween sweets and I left them all except for the small one I picked which I factored into my calories. I would NEVER have been able to do this before.

Highest weight was 250.4 in Nov 2024 though I was pregnant so not sure that counts! Was 232 for a long time post pregnancy and then managed to get down to 218 myself but been stuck within 3lbs of there for 6 months. Hoping Wegovy is going to be life-changing for me.

Very similar here about being a sugar fiend and not eating proper meals! That was/is me.
I’ve posted that exact phrase too when I started- felt like early pregnancy! You are just a bit more cautious about food and don’t really fancy anything. Unfortunately for me that’s worn off now so it’s all willpower. I do still go and get chocolate but I feel like the bingeing is a lot less.
i was down 7 pounds in the first week which is so good to see it working.
im up at 1mg now and had very little side effects apart from feeling wired for the first few weeks and not sleeping the best- but it got better.
good luck !

Day 3. Woke up absolutely ravenous today but I'm 1lb back up? Weird. I'm going to try and weigh most days so I can track progress in that way, I've found weighing weekly I get demotivated as my weight fluctuates massively around my period.

While I was making breakfast I had a massive wave of nausea and thought I was going to throw up, I almost did throw up but nothing actually came up as my stomach was empty. Going to try and eat earlier as it seems very much like in pregnancy where I feel nauseous if I have an empty stomach!
