Checking in, no idea how many weeks I've been on MJ now 🤣 I lost another 2lbs so my running total is now 2 stone and 6lbs.

Had one of those "I don't want to weigh" days but pushed through it and glad I did. Horribly constipated this week for some reason so upping the fibre and the water.

Happy Weekend all.

ElsieJay · 20/03/2026 19:12

@SussexLass87 - thanks, much appreciated . I’ve not slept properly since, subconsciously think I’m worrying about it happening again .
Hope those nasty side effects are wearing off, @DidILeaveTheGasOn . I inadvertently jabbed the full dose from a 5mg pen on Weds evening ( had been titrating down ) and been chilly and nauseous since - coupled with the lack of sleep, I’m feeling sad and sorry for myself this evening. DH has bought me some lucozade , which helps, but as it’s high in sugar may not be the best plan.

Have a great weekend, everyone !

ElsieJay · 20/03/2026 19:13

PS Congratulations on the 2lbs loss , @SussexLass87 ! 💐

SignedUpAgain · 20/03/2026 21:27

Spent ages debating it. Finally decided to go up a dose to 12.5mg.
things have stalled for me this last 5-6 weeks and I seem to have put the same 1kg on and off for ages now.
I am craving sweet stuff again. No idea why.

going to try it and if it doesn’t work out probs going back down to 10mg to save some money.

got a week in the US to survive. Shoud be ok as I’m visiting someone and we won’t be eating out too much etc.

total loss to date is 31kg.

new clothes size 16 ish

would like to shift another 20kg if possible

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 20/03/2026 21:42

Today was much better.
Not sure if I'll stay on 12.5 or count clicks and go for lower. It might be a good idea!

Feel much better being back on mj. It does make me look at my life as a whole and want to make changes, and I think that's good. My job is so stressful that I know three people with tooth pain from grinding their teeth in their sleep. Combine that with my method of extracting the golden dose and it's lucky I have any left. (I do, honest - <gummy smile>).

Had to walk rather fast to get my son to school yesterday and my knee has been painful since, but improving. In the last two weeks I've gone from an uneven gait and limping to walking normally so I'm really pleased.

Last year I bought some pink mom jeans in the sale in a size 14. I'm definitely still a size 16 now but being back on mj, and able to walk around, gives me hope that they might fit in the summer. My alternative/indie teen self would be mortified. Pink jeans! They're a nice pastel colour and would be great with a tshirt and converse. Or even ballet flats. My feet have shrunk a bit so far.

Mainly though for summer, I'd just like to not feel instantly out of breath on a hot day.

DBatteryBand · 21/03/2026 07:21

Those jeans sound fab, @DidILeaveTheGasOn . Glad to hear the progress with your knee.

I've jabbed with 10mg this morning. I've been on 7.5mg for about 6 months - it's no wonder the effects were wearing off. Just thinking back to when I started on 7.5 and it took me half an hour to eat half a boiled egg...these days I'd eat two boiled eggs in two minutes and look longingly into the bread bin afterwards. Hoping there won't be too much sitting at the table looking sadly at morsels of food I can't possibly push into my mouth, but less frenzied 'Cookie Monster'-style consumption of malted milk biscuits would be very welcome.

@DidILeaveTheGasOn - inspired by the pink jeans and your improved walking !
Glad you’re feeling better.

DBatteryBand · 23/03/2026 14:24

Just to report in on moving up to 10 mg. All ok so far, some pretty noticeable suppression - much reduced biscuit action - but I am so bloody cold. I’ve had summer tops delivered but am too cold to undress to try them on. The house is warm, but I am not. Passed a woman as I set out walking the dog earlier. She had her jacket tied round her middle and told me I would be far too warm in my scarf and thick coat. I was perishing. I am assuming it’s Mounjaro-related and that I’m not going down with some terrible malady. I can’t wait to get into the car to collect DD from school so I can get the heated seat on and crack up the heater. I have been wandering around tidying up the house, and instead of just picking up discarded clothing (there are some untidy weasels in this house), I’m putting it on. By the end of the day I will be wearing six cardigans, four hoodies and three bobble hats at this rate.

Apprenante · 24/03/2026 12:22

How fortunate that you've got 3 bobble hats and a lot of cardigans and hoodies @DBatteryBand . This problem with feeling cold all the time is aggravating.

After I had my exciting fall down the stairs the hospital asked for a thyroid function test. (I don't know why, maybe they thought I'd tripped on an extra large thyroid?) I wondered if it was underactive and that's why I was cold. It wasn't - so being cold is just losing all the fat. Roll on summer!

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 24/03/2026 14:36

Ah @DBatteryBand that's awful, the coldness really gets me as well for the first few days. It's brutal. I hope it eases.

I'm due to jab today and not looking forward to the cold returning, especially when it is due to drop to -2 here.

Gingercar · 24/03/2026 15:53

I’d love to be cold! I’m always burning up. It was one of the side effects I’d hoped for, but I didn’t get any.

Gingercar · 24/03/2026 15:53

@HKG are you doing ok?

Apprenante · 27/03/2026 09:31

How's everybody doing? It's all gone very quiet ...

I'm wavering between maintaining and trying to lose a bit more. I'm somewhere between a BMI of 25 and 26 and truly very happy there. But I want a bit of leeway.

I still have 2 pens of Mounjaro left. Obviously I'll be using that - albeit reducing the dose as I go. Or do I buy an extra pen (which will have to be a 2.5 as I haven't bought any since the pendemic panic) just in case?

I'm just writing my thoughts down to try to get my thinking organised.

Really I'd just like to hear how everyone's getting on.

HereIGoOnceMore · 27/03/2026 10:09

👋 Waves at everyone. I’m still here reading and plodding on plodding on. I’m slowly reducing my doses and reached 2.5 mg this week. I’ve found I’m hungrier, but am not overeating at mealtimes, so so far so good. I think.

A small NSV this week was finding some trousers in M&S children’s section that would fit me. I didn’t buy them, but left feeling chuffed.

Have a good weekend, all.

Gingercar · 27/03/2026 12:05

Hello!
Im always around. Plodding on. Technically I’ve got 2 stones to go, but I think I’m aiming for 1.5. I’ve another 12.5 pen that I should have started yesterday but forgot, and a 15mg pen (plus a 2.5 that bloody Voy sent me instead of a 7.5). I’m thinking that I’ll three more 12.5 doses then start titrating down for the end of the 12.5 pen and throughout the 15 pen. That will probably give me three months and 5 weeks on the 2.5. I hope I’ll be nearly there then. I’ve had to use a lot of willpower anyway, never had much suppression. And I really want to feel like I can manage my weight myself at the end. Time will tell!

ElsieJay · 27/03/2026 18:30

Hello all !
Should have weighed in today but decided to have a lie in instead - going through a phase of waking up in the early hours, and not being able to get to sleep again.
Don’t feel like I’ve gained , but the “naughty but nice” things that started to creep in are harder to resist now. I don’t think the weather is helping -or is that a handy get-out ?
All being well ( am looking at you, POTUS) we’re off to Cyprus for the Orthodox Easter, absolutely love it but will be a major food fest and lots of socialising.
Have a good weekend, everyone . 🐣 xx

Kipperandarthur · 27/03/2026 18:52

I too am so very cold which is so unlike me.
We are going to Spain for Easter and it's tricky knowing what to pack at the best of times but with this in built coldness it makes it even harder.

I'm on second pen of 10mg and will do another at this level before deciding whether to increase or not. I also have a 5mg and 7.5mg in the fridge for the future, although they could also be used as top ups for another pen. Decisions, decisions.

Currently at 4.5 stone down but want to shift at least another 2 stone.

Foreveronaplane · 27/03/2026 19:35

Hi all, it’s lovely to hear your stories & that there are still others hanging in there. I’m still at least a stone away from goal - 3.5 down. I went up to 10mg and the fatigue has been tough.. I’d forgotten about that SE🙈 2 lbs down since upping the dose so hope it helps me to get to goal .. Easter will be tough as lots of socialising and family time. 🙏🏻 for dry weather.

SignedUpAgain · 28/03/2026 05:09

I love reading about everyone’s experiences and how they’re getting on. It’s all so different. Not like the media portray this at all.
im moving up to 12.5mg next week. Hoping for better suppression.

kinda stalled the last 5-6 weeks for no apparent reason.

WhynotJanet · 28/03/2026 07:01

Hello All! I’m still here, loving the updates from everyone. I’ve lost just under 3.5st hoping to lose another stone and a half. Now on 12.5 and still feeling the cold, but have just used to it now, so try and ignore it. It’s my new normal.

SutekhsEars · 28/03/2026 07:58

I'm the same with sleep, @ElsieJay . I've recently been trying to sort out my menopausal bladder, so I'm usually only waking up once a night now but I find it difficult to get back to sleep. I listen to headspace, and that helps a bit, but it not a guarantee.

I think I'm at target. I've been aiming for 70kg and today was 70.05, so I think that's it. I've started to think that obsessing over exactly 70kg probably isn't healthy, so I had been considering stopping this weekend anyway, whatever the scales said. So now what? I'm currently on 5mg/week. Do I stay at 5 for a while? Do I start titrating down immediately? I'm quite nervous about this phase; my current plan is to reduce by 1mg each month.
I should probably head over to the maintenance thread, but I'll miss my bunch of loser-buddies!

SaintHildegard · 28/03/2026 08:00

Morning all! I was here under a different username previously. For financial reasons I ended up coming off MJ in December and oh my gosh, didn’t I know it. Obviously hadn’t put in enough of the hard yards in terms of uptake of water, protein, good foods etc., and put on a stone again.

Back to the start I went. January, 2.5mg and the journey began again. Now back up to 5mg as the 2.5mg was of significantly less effect this time. Thankfully getting back on track, but yeah. It’s been a ride!

Megsdaughter · 28/03/2026 13:25

I do just jump on here occasionally, but read a lot.

I swapped to Wegovey back in September and after a slow start im back losing 1.8lbs a week according to my tracker.

Hit the 6 stone loss this week so down from 19.13 stone to 13.13stone. I went into a 18 in clothes about a month ago, that fit but just. Now they are roomy. Hopefully will be in a 16 for new summer clothes. My last year summer clothes are a 26 so need a whole new wardrobe. Have been saving hard so am off to somewhere like Matalan so not to exspensive. We are off to Cyprus (hopefully) in September for oyr 25th wedding anniversary so summer clothes definitely needed.

ElsieJay · 28/03/2026 18:35

Congratulations, @SutekhsEars ! 💐 🥂 🍾 🥳 xx
I’d debated moving to the maintenance thread too, but decided to stay here, amongst friends .

ElsieJay · 28/03/2026 18:39

@Megsdaughter - a whole new summer wardrobe ! Well done you !
Can recommend Cyprus in September - any time of year, really, but September is a perfect time of the year to visit, the sea is warm and the resorts are a little quieter.
Have you any places in mind yet ?
