Please help me decide what to do - near healthy bmi

I am a few pounds away from going into the high end of healthy BMI. I’ve gone from obese to a bmi of 26. I’ve been on 5mg near enough the whole time and losing 1lb a week, sometimes 2. I would like to lose another stone so I am well into the healthy BMI and so that I have a bit of a buffer for when I go into maintenance and come off monjauro eventually.
because of price increases I have two more 5mg pens after I finish this one as I stockpiled two more before september (I have three weeks inc fifth dose)

I’m considering ordering a 7.5mg now to give me a boost for my final stone before going back to 5mg for maintenance. Im worried I won’t be able to order up a dose or at all while in a healthy bmi.
i have fairly good suppression on 5mg but it’s not working as strong as at first.
would this be a good idea? Or is it unnecessary?
I’m feeling confused and anxious on what to do.

I’ve reached my goal weight. Not that I had one, but I’m 50 pounds down and 9 stone 6. I stopped MJ for a couple of weeks but then decided to resume at a low dose - just in case.

I am now on 5mg and inject fortnightly. Appetite suppression is still there. I also think, for me, it’s a panacea. I feel really great on it.

I'm not quite there yet but from what I've seen, people are allowed to order up a dose even on maintenance with some pharmacies.
If you feel 5mg isn't working for you anymore then you can try 7.5mg. I would say it depends why you think it's not working so well.
Is it because you are eating more or is it because you're losing weight more slowly. If you're losing weight more slowly then you should probably look at how many calories you're eating. We need a lot less as we lose weight.
Going up a dose doesn't mean more weight loss on its own. It will only work better if it helps you eat less.

I have been in maintenance for 6 months now and my bmi is currently 22.9. I approached goal on 10mg (having been on 10 for 6 months) and decided to go up to 12.5 in an impatient effort to get there 🤦🏼‍♀️

It was awful! 😂 No appetite at all and no interest in food. Horrible experience.

I am not saying that will happen to you of course! Maybe order the 7.5 and give it a try then you can always just take 5 from the pen if it doesn’t work for you?

I order from a maintenance friendly pharmacy and can move up or down a dose as necessary. Who are you ordering from at the moment?

Im ordering from simple online pharmacy and MedExpress. Keep worrying im going to be told I can’t order anymore.

I could try that and see, sorry 12.5 was so horrendous for you!

Well that’s valid, neither are positive about maintence and both known to cut folks off cold turkey, but why stay with them, why not use a maintenance pharmacy who lets you order as per your requrements, why stay with the worst ones who don’t and then tie yourself in knots?

Thanks! Just one of those things really.

I would have a look at other suppliers tbh. ME have never been actively pro-maintenance and Simple seem to have been bumping people at a healthy bmi recently.

Have a look at the maintenance info on monj and investigate some maintenance friendly pharmacies. I am with Pharmulous, Swift Dr are also highly recommended.

I would move now to a supplier that’s more supportive of maintenance. I don’t think it’s such a bad idea to go up now.
