I’m 5ft 1 and having lost 2 stone and 2lbs on MJ, I’m now 14 stone and wearing a comfortable size 16. I was an 18/20 at 16 stone, 4lbs.

Of course it’s all got to do with your build but just curious as to how others clothes size are in proportion to their weight.

I’m 5ft 3 and started at 95kg and now 82kg, so just over 2 stone loss. I was size 16 at the start and I’m still in my size 16 clothes now. I’d love to try on my jeans in a size below but I fear I’d be upset if they didn’t fit. I have gone down 2 notches on my watch strap and my wedding ring that was too tight now swings round my finger….

Started wli at 15 stone 8, 5 foot 6 and size 18. Still 5 foot 6, but currently 12 stone 5 and size 14. Think id need to get down to 11 stone to be a size 12.

girljulian · 31/10/2025 17:19

I’m 5’5 and a 10-12 at ten stone. Before I was a 14. So not a huge change.

SushiDisco · 31/10/2025 17:22

Just realised this is ok the weight loss injections board so my reply was irrelevant! Sorry🤣

Ofchris · 31/10/2025 17:22

Just restarted WLI at 16st10 (lost 5lb this week). I’m 5ft 8 and a size 20

mondaytosunday · 31/10/2025 17:26

Im 5’10”. At 69kg I was a size 10/12. At 80kg size 12/14 (mostly 14). As I’m tall I still looked slim wearing a size 12/14.

Zempy · 31/10/2025 17:27

5 ft 4. Started at 13 stone 7 and size 14/16.

Now 8 stone 7 and size 10 top and 8 bottom (still got 32G boobs)

Shmasherley · 31/10/2025 17:27

5ft 9
Started at 21.5st and size 22
Now 14.5st and size 16
I feel like I’ve had a second chance at living.

Thelankyone · 31/10/2025 17:31

5 foot 6 and a half, weigh nine stone and a size 8-10, more an 8 to be honest, stopped losing weight six months ago, maintained weight since then, but dropped two percentage points in body fat, whilst built more muscle, so now look much leaner, was closer to a ten when I stopped.

lost over 6 stone, was a size 18.

Flakey99 · 31/10/2025 17:31

@threeeggsontoast. That’s interesting. Are you quite a petite person generally (small hands and feet?)

I’m 5’2” and was just under 15th stones and size 20/22. I’ve got big hands and size 8 feet.

I’m currently losing on MJ and 13st 6lbs and a size 18.

I’d need to be 12.5 stones to wear a size 16. 🙁

PurpleCoo · 31/10/2025 17:45

I'm 5'4, started at 95kg and a size 16
I'm now 69.1kg, and a size 10-12 (depending on style/brand... I have 10s that are loose and 12s that are just right)

Bra size has gone from a 38F to a 34E, although think I will be a 32E soon, as bras are getting looser and having to do up on the tightest fitting, even though bras are not that old.

Glad to still have a curvy hourglass figure with smaller waist and curvy boobs/bum. Edited to add, I am also quite muscular due to having always exercised a lot, so have always generally looked smaller than my weight suggests

Yes I am…size 4.5 in shoes and what my mum used to describe as ‘dainty hands’.
Weirdly when I first started losing weight, it came off my arms wrists (I’d have much rather my hips!!) and I could tell because I had to tighten my watch strap twice.

However even though I’m petite, if I go below 10 stone, I start to look really scrappy and scrawny. I’m aiming for 10.7 stone as last time I was there, I remember feeling really comfortable in my own skin.

5 ft 6”
14 stone
M&S size 16 (a squeeze, and couldn’t wear 16 jeans though as too tight)

NOW: 12 stone
still size M&S size16 (but easy fit). Large on loose side.

Similar to me size-wise. I'm 5ft 6, started at 104kg, now 79 kg, almost all my clothes are still size 16. Tbf I was squeezing into them at that point and they now fit much more comfortably but still, no change in size except in men's clothing where I've gone from an L to an M. Also many 16s still don't fit me - I bought a lovely pair of black trousers in a 16 and they don't go up past my thighs.
