Is anyone else pissed off with Bolt?

I’m so fed up with them. Used to be a straightforward process ordering from them, now they send billions of emails asking me to fill in my dosage and the dates I did my jabs. I get emails reminding me to log on and fill in a wretched form, emails telling me off coz I haven’t filled in their bloody form and emails saying they need this information urgently. GPs don’t do this so why are they hounding me relentlessly? Anyone else feel the same way?

Is this their interpretation of tightening up on the safeguards? I hope other providers don’t do this, what a faff.

Pharmacies are under pressure from the GPhC to ensure they are prescribing safely and they are fully documenting their prescribing decisions with evidence.

Many providers are tightening up their processes to ensure they meet the GPhC guidelines and it means providing more evidence each time. It is a faff for them too, waste so much pharmacy resource chasing patients for the info, but the pharmacy need to do their job right, mine also asks for further information if I am not ordering every 4 weeks.

Surely they will stop "hounding" you when you give them the information they have requested? They only want to get your order approved, processed and on its way to you.

Expect to be asked to supply information every 2nd or 3rd order due to the tightening of the regulations. it’s usually just a selfie and a video of you stepping on the scales to verify your weight.

Key is to ensure that you’re checking your emails quickly just in case your supplier has asked you to supply this information.

Are you ordering every 4 weeks? If not, this will raise concerns that you aren't using the medication as prescribed.

So I had a long conversation with them about six weeks ago about tapering down and they were happy for me to space out my orders. I said I’d like to try a month on / month off regime and they were happy for me to go with that. Then the pestering emails started.

Interesting. I ordered from them last month to top up the stash I’ve accumulated in my fridge. I thought I wouldn’t need more pens, but due to my weight loss slowing a fair bit I might. They emailed me yesterday saying it was time to reorder. I replied that I hadn’t started it due to having another full pen to use, and could I delay a month or so. They replied that is fine and could I give them a rough idea when I’d reorder. I thought that was good service. I’ll wait to see if they continue with emails!

I’ve just ordered through them as they are the most competitive prices wise, they seem pretty good so far.

I was with juniper and would have stayed as the customer service, delivery and app are brilliant, sadly just too expensive for me to continue.

As they are taking the risk of prescribing to you off-licence, they are wanting evidence/ assurance from you that you are following what has been agreed.

It sounds like you'll need to jump through those minor hoops as they are a responsible prescriber.

If you are on 2.5mg, though, it does seem like overkill.

Henrythegorilla · 28/10/2025 18:33

I ordered from them for the first time a couple of days ago as they offered most competitive rate for 15mg. Had to supply lots of extra info, photos, proof of previous orders etc which I don’t mind. Then was asked about gap between last order and this one. Again I don’t mind and I explained before price hike I bought 15mg as and when it was available as it was often difficult to get. They accepted this. Then today I received an email telling me they will dispatch the pen if I email them to confirm ‘I will agree to administer the medication once weekly’ - this was all in bold. So I presume they will now track me to make sure I stick to my word! I’ve never had this with any other supplier.

Greentrilby · 28/10/2025 19:14

@CatsorDogsrule yep I’m on 2.5, so I do think they are being super strict.

@Henrythegorilla Looks like they are being much stricter all round.
