I've thought about WLI since ozempic came on the scene years ago but have always been terrified to try it as I am one of those people who always seem to get side effects of things.

We are just back a holiday which I tried for 12 weeks before hand really hadd to lose weight and followed a 9 week exercise routine and done over 15,000 steps a day and never went over 1,500 calories and barely lost any weight and looked no different in the before and after pictures so feel really deflated and I am back to thinking about WLI

Im really just looking for people views on it. I am 173cm and 195.6 lbs ( post 2 week all inclusive cruise) 🤣

Well, you can always try it and stop if you don’t like it. You’d have wasted the money on one injection pen but that’s all it would be, if you stopped after one injection. The medication would mostly be out of your system in a week or two, and that would it.

Your BMI though is just under 30 though, so do you qualify for WLI? You need a BMI of 30 or higher, or 26 if you are an ethnicity where obese is classified as from 27 upwards. Or if your BMI is 27+ and you have a weight related health condition.

How much weight did you lose on your 12 week try before your holiday?

Why all the angst, you start on a low dose, if you don’t like it don’t do a second injection, the following week, all you’ve lost is the cost of one pen. Yes it’s not great to lose 150 quid but surely it’s better than this fretting for years?

Too late to edit my post but that mention of 26 BMI should be 27….

Why not try and see? If you have side effects don’t do the second dose or try a half dose the second week. Even if you do have side effect unlikely to last more than 3-4 days.
