Horrendous withdrawal

I don't know if anyone has any experience or thoughts but I am pretty desperate. I've been on Mounjaro for just over a year and lost 3 stone. Taking 15mg.

Apart from some horrendous sickness and diarrhoea for two weeks while on 10mg, I've been relatively lucky re side effects.

I took my last injection two weeks ago. Wasn't feeling too good when it was due so skipped it. And skipped the next week. Day 8 and 13 (today) I have had the most horrendous diarrhoea. No warning whatsoever and not even feeling like I needed the loo.

I hadn't realised that if you go cold turkey you can get kind of rebound side effects, diarrhoea being one of them.

I have taken some Imodium but am now terrified to leave the house due to the complete lack of warning.

I still have a 15mg pen. I don't know whether I should take a dose or a smaller dose, or if that will make it worse (not sure it could be worse tbh)

Might order some psyllium husk to see if that will help.

Am terrified that I've permanently damaged my digestive system.

Anybody else experienced this when stopping? Any advice gratefully received 😀

There are no withdrawal symptoms . You can go cold turkey. This is either coincidental or you have a bug maybe ?

Mounjaro stays in your system for longer than 2 weeks so it’s unlikely to be withdrawal at day 13 never mind day 8. I think it’s far likely to be coincidental.

I don't know if the link works but talks about gastrointestinal rebound symptoms and a quick scour of the Internet's how's lots of people experiencing diarrhoea when stopping suddenly 😭

Maybe it could be a bug but it's very strange to have diarrhoea then be completely fine for another 4 days, then have diarrhoea again. Hopefully it will clear up

Why would you go cold turkey when you still have a pen? Why don’t you take eg 30 clicks of your 15mg
so you can titrate to 7.5 and then maybe get one more 5mg pen if you feel like it would be helpful. Personally I am staying on my current dose now I’ve hit target then going to gradually titrate. Dr Emily cooper on the fat science podcast said that she thinks it can take two years to adjust/ titrate down and eventually come off.

I missed the first injection two weeks ago because I felt rough. No real reason why I missed the second dose other than curiosity how I would be without it. Now, I don't know if it is withdrawal and a small dose would help or to ride it out. Or if it is a side effect that's come absolutely out of nowhere after a year, and taking more will make it worse.

If you felt rough and had to stop, then it’s likely you’ve had a bug or something, or coming off you’ve started eating food your system isn’t used to,more fat, more carbs etc, which has upset your digestion. I also doubt it’s withdrawal, but either a bug or diet change.
