Anyone on Wegovy hoping to lose more than ten stone?

Is there anyone else considering starting Wegovy and who weighs more than 20 stone? I was considering Mounjaro but cannot afford it due to the price hikes. I need to lose at least 10 stone, but I am struggling to find success stories of people who had such a large amount of weight to lose. One of my parents also had thyroid cancer (I'm not sure which one specifically), so I'm not sure if I'd even be eligible. Feeling quite despondent, as I wouldn't have put on all this weight if I hadn't had to take various antidepressants and antipsychotics.

Have you considered trying Wegovy or Ozempic? I've tried both and have managed to lose another 35 lbs (over 4 months) in addition to the 6 stone I'd lost previously without weight loss injections. I believe that Wegovy and Ozempic haven't been subject to the huge price increases that Mounjaro has.

Wegovy and Ozempic are the same medication. Ozempic is not available for weight loss only in the UK. Assuming you are in the UK @AnxiousApocalypse? So the choice would be Mounjaro or Wegovy.

Have you looked online at US sites for stories of people losing 140lbs plus on Ozempic/Wegovy? It was available there for a good while before it was available in the UK so there might be more people there who’ve done it.

We also have a thread here called “Mounjaro 10st (or more) to lose” which also has some people posting who are on Wegovy. I have lost 10st plus on Mounjaro, but it will in all likelihood be possible on Wegovy too. All of us who need to lose those kinds of amounts of weight are beyond what was tested for in any of the clinical trials, but it is still possible to achieve it.
