Starting Wegovy today

Hello! I'm awaiting my first wegovy pen in the post today, I'm so nervous, mainly scared it won't work, can anyone advise what I might expect, or share any success? What if I'm just so broken and greedy that it doesn't help?!

Ahhh amazing, @GU24Mumwould love a buddy. Mine has just arrived, going to take at bedtime! My birthday is Friday so we're twinning! How much do you have to lose? Realistically I've probably got 5 stone ish but would be over the moon to hit 3 off

Excellent - sounds like a plan. I’ve remembered that I’m going for MJ but same difference. I’ve also got a good 5st to lose and now various health “issues” which would benefit from being quite a bit lighter!

Hi, I started Wegovy yesterday morning after stressing over it since Monday when it arrived.

It started working almost straight away, I'm very impressed!

For the first couple of hours I had a feeling of overwhelming exhaustion followed by some nausea and then nothing but a feeling of being a bit full. I injected into my thigh and the area is now black and blue for some reason - it didn't hurt and doesn't hurt now.

The best bit is that for the first time in months I didn't drink wine last night, I just didn't fancy it and I can easily polish of a bottle of red! I hope this continues!

I want to lose 2.5 stone.

Took it an hour ago. Felt a bit warm afterwards. Hopefully I'll get affects quickly too, can't imagine not just always wanting to eat tbh!

I took my first dose this morning! First night in a very long time that I haven't snacked! I felt a bit nauseous around lunch time but other than that, I have been fine so far.

We went to the pub last night, I had 2 glasses of wine all night (usually it's 3/4), no snacks and no supper back at home.

I'm going to focus on eating more protein today. How's everyone tracking what your eating?

I’ve just done mine so fingers crossed. I had a brief flier with Ozempic a few years ago but didn’t read any diet advice so that probably explains why it didn’t work. Something needs to change this time so I’m up for giving it a good go.

Morning all. I am at work and feel fine, had a chat to someone at work who has been on it a while and said will build up over a couple of days. I think I can feel slight effect but nothing dramatic as of yet. She said she really likes it and feels so much better, so feeling positive

My plan this week is to focus on calories, water and a walk daily

I have found the low starter doses of Wegovy to be completely ineffective.

I’m just coming to the end of my second month having had 0.25 for the first month and now 0.5 for the second month.

I’ve had no side effects but also felt pretty much no drop in food noise. Hopefully I’ll soon reach a dose that works for me.

@Augustbub- how’s it going? I’ve found it easier than my previous brief foray with jabs but I’ve also been a bit more careful what I’m eating. I saw some photos of me in a summer dress taken a few weeks ago and that’s also quite motivating!
