Can’t offer personal advice as I cannot take them but my mum was on wegovy and lost slowly but a good amount. It did however very much slow down and she ended up changing recently to mounjaro. She had to have a week off in between and is already losing well on this one.
Also whatever one you do go for watch videos on YouTube how to do it. A woman in my work messed hers up twice 🙈 a lot of money to not be doing it right!

Edited to add- my mums mood seemed very much affected by Wegovy (really down) but has been better since the change. Suppose this could vary from person to person.

You’ll not really get a definitive answer on here.
I’ve been taking MJ (almost a year now) and it’s the only WLI I’ve tried. It’s worked like a dream for me, very minimal on the side effects front, have had good energy levels for the most part and no nausea, about 3 sulphur burps a few months in, hair loss but to be expected when losing weight as quickly as I did.
Most people I know on WLI are also on MJ. Not sure I know anyone on Wegovy or alternatives. A few people I know who started on Wegovy reported the only as their stomach lining being sick as a dog and switched to MJ and found it fine.
BUT it’s not a one size fits all, I’ve read a few people on here didn’t get on with MJ at all and switched and found it a lot better.
I guess you won’t know how you respond until you try.

Mounjaro. Wegovy isn’t anywhere near as good.

SilenceInside · 17/10/2025 20:40

Mounjaro is the most effective and is meant to have fewer side effects than Wegovy. But it is much more expensive now than Wegovy. So it may depend on what your budget is, unfortunately, rather than what is the best option without considering cost.

narcASD · 17/10/2025 20:44

Mounjaro has better results than Wegovy I think.

after much dithering and getting g fatter I decided to order, I use Juniper, not the cheapest but got a discount and they are very good in terms of customer service & delivery.

1st off in the month so far and no side effects at all, well apart from weight loss!

DBatteryBand · 17/10/2025 20:54

I've only used Mounjaro, but fully recommend it. It's expensive, but it really works. It's like witchcraft. I have been fat all my life, and also really quite unhappy for much of it, being apparently unable to control what I would push into my mouth. I would eat and eat and eat, and if I wasn't eating, I was thinking about what I was going to eat. Constantly. I'd wake up wondering what to have for dinner. I thought it wouldn't work for me, because I would eat even when I felt so full I could burst....but it really, really has worked for me. I have no 'food noise' at all. I can nip into the supermarket for tinfoil and come out with tinfoil, instead of coming out with tinfoil,a bag of doughnuts, a sharing sized bag of Tyrrell's crisps, a loaf of crusty bread, butter, ice cream and a giant bag of Jelly Babies. People who don't struggle like this around food might not understand, but for me Mounjaro has been life changing. I say give it a go...but perhaps not if you just want to shift 7 lbs and live mostly on kale anyway. It is pretty potent medication.

DarkForces · 18/10/2025 07:17

Think long term. If you've been obese a long time you may need this drug for the rest of your life. Wegovy is significantly less expensive than Mounjaro and performed well in clinical trials. It's safe and effective, but not quite as effective as Mounjaro. You'll get to where you want on either if you put the work in but it's not a quick fix.

If it helps I'm in maintenance and my prescriber is happy to move me onto Wegovy from Mounjaro once I'm ready but they want me to give it a couple of months to build up if I make the switch.

morbidcuriosity · 18/10/2025 07:37

If money not an issue the mounjaro, its worked amazing for me.. but if you want to spend less then I would try wegovey first as its cheaper.

OhCobblers · 23/10/2025 10:00

Could anyone advise the best MJ supplier? MyJuniper constantly showing on my feed vs Wegovy?

I've lost five and a half stone on Mounjaro over the last year. I get my prescription through Voy and haven't had any issues. They usually have discount codes available for the first few pens if you know somebody who gets theirs through them.

SilenceInside · 23/10/2025 10:04

Have a look at https://monj.co.uk for a list of suppliers. There is no "best" really. Juniper is a subscription service that includes various additional services, and will automatically roll on if you don't actively cancel it. They also get very expensive at the higher doses once the initial new customer discount doesn't apply.

I am currently with Swift fwiw, who have been good so far, and quick to approve and deliver as the name suggests.

morbidcuriosity · 23/10/2025 10:24

I've used Asda for my first one, then realised I could get it cheaper.. so jumped around for the first time discounts..
I've used Zava, Med Express, Simple online pharmacy, IQ Doctor, Oushk and I think another but can't remember. All have been fine, once I get my email for delivery I change the location to send to post office so I don't have to wait in, then collect from there..
