No weight loss in a month been on holiday - go up a dose?

I have overall gained as much as I have lost this month. But I had a week abroad. I'm 6 months in and on 5mg. I have been on 7.5 before but came back down. Surely with just a weeks holiday I should have lost something? Time to move up?

As it is calorie deficit that determines weight loss not the dose, personally I wouldn't move up until I understood why I wasn't losing weight. I would recheck my TDEE and go back to tracking calories carefully for a few weeks to see if the problem was what I was eating or if the problem was I could no longer keep to my calorie deficit.

It might simply be a case of over indulgence on holiday and needing some time to get back into a routine, or it might be going off track or needing to be more mindful of the basics - protein, fiber, minimise carbs/sweeteners/sugar/UPF, plenty of water. Or it might be you need extra support from a dose increase.

Only tracking is going to tell you for sure - if you don't measure it you can't manage it.

I definitely ate more on holiday as all my meals was chosen and served to me. The only other things I have done is have a few more breakfasts because I normally fast until 1pm but if I'm out in the day and busy I do eat breakfast. So maybe a few extra breakfasts. I had two chocolate bars which is really depressing if that's the difference between loosing or maintaining as I envisage a future with no more chocolate 😭😭

Also normally I don't fancy chocolate. So, that's new. Definitely done less walking this month too as my holiday was 15,000 steps every day so I felt I deserved a break. Hmmmm.... I think your right unfortunately.

When I have been on 7.5 before I have gone back down to 5mg the next month with no issue. I really don't want to creep up to 15mg but feel like I need a mini reset

Unless your chocolate bars were HUGE they are not the difference. 3500 calorie deficit notionally equates to 1lb loss. You (hopefully) didn't eat 3500 calories in two choc bars! The cumulative effect of chocolate bars, alongside extra breakfasts etc is possibly the problem.

Yes they wasn't that big! On the days I have breakfast I need to have cereal for lunch. I don't even feel hungry and I know I can easily go from 8pm to 1pm without food. I have somehow convinced myself I will feel faint which I never do since fasting. Bad habits creeping back in. I need to write it down this week. I don't count calories as I know I can't keep that up when I stop WLI. That's when food creeps back onto my mind as I'm thinking about it more. I just work on portion size and sensible choices
