Side Effects - Advice Needed

Help!!
I've been on 10mg MJ for 7 weeks - due shot 8 of that dose tomorrow.
I've never had any side effects, up until the last month or so when the diarrhoea is starting to take over (I was on a flight home today - was not fun!!)

I'm due a phone call on Wednesday where I'll hopefully be prescribed wegovy on the NHS.

Would you skip tomorrow's dose and start the wean ready for the wegovy, or battle through with a ton of imodium?
If I don't get approved for the wegovy (it's the NHS, they could say anything!) I'm planning on dropping down to 7.5mg MJ as a more tolerable dose.

Thanks

We're you losing on 7.5mg?
How much on average per week?

TheFunkyDuckling · 10/10/2025 19:39

Yeah,
I was losing on 7.5mg, not sure how much on average - here is my shotsy graph.
Haven't weighed last two weeks, have been on holiday.
Dunno if it's the bad holiday diet and not eating my safe foods that's encouraged the loose motions too.

If you were loosing steadily what made you move up a dose?

Remember this is a long game, in reality most of us will need to stay on a maintenance dose long term (all the evidence points towards this) so there is no point suffering side effects just to lose faster.

Bad holiday diet won't have helped, the only diarrhea I've had has been on day 6/7 and due to slightly less suppressed appetite meaning i ate slightly more and slightly richer food. I now inject a smaller dose every 5 days to avoid the ups and downs of suppression, it works a treat.

So in answer to my actual question...
What do I do today?

If you’re still getting the diarrhoea then I would at least delay taking your next injection for a day or two.

Definitely delay taking your injection, it will drop the concentration in your body so if it is the dose, that could resolve it. It's more likely food choices.
There are also bugs going round, I was up Friday morning 2-4am with diarrhoea and its now developed with headache, blocked nose and sore throat. Could be covid. Not been ill since before December but these things happen! My Jab was due Fri evening so I knew it wasn't that or anything I ate as I mainly eat the same safe foods as I have for a year. I've only been ill twice after eating pizza in the whole year. Some get it with high carbs but fatty foods are also a trigger.

I would take the injection and eat properly.
