SheMed Review

Just signed up two days ago so not much of a review, more like my experience till now. I got the at-home blood test the very next day of signing up, and was approved on Sunday. And my Wegovy was already on my doorstep on Monday! I guess it has something to do with being in London, but oh well. Time to take care of my health, for myself and for my little ones. They need their mom to be fit and ready to seize the day!

I was with them for 9months and honestly wouldn't touch them with a barge pole now... Im on mounjaro and moved to a different provider. Have you checked you cant get wegovy cheaper elsewhere? I've not looked at wegovy prices but SheMed are notoriously difficult to communicate with.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 08/10/2025 07:04

Good luck with your journey though. Its been lifechanging for me.

tayloranne · 09/10/2025 05:51

Thank you! I haven't had any issues with communication (yet) so I'll stick around for a while I guess.

They handled the MJ price rise very badly indeed (I left at that point). Otherwise I found them ok if you get on board with the offering, ie weekly weigh in, and them deciding the dose.

Nearlyhadenough · 10/10/2025 06:16

I used them until the price hike fiasco. They were a complete shambles at that point. Admittedly they were great up till then though. It was good to know that the price wasn’t going to change and I like the accountability of checking in every week.
Good luck on your journey!

SheMed just told me blood test compromised in transit asked to cancel and refund my £75:00. The told me they will withhold £59 for charges for a blood test kit. Avoid Avoid. Avoid. How many being scammed???

It's in their Terms and Conditions....

https://my.shemed.co.uk/terms

"If you cancel your participation in the programme after the blood test is shipped, you are not eligible for a refund unless you are deemed medically ineligible for the programme."

I don't see how it's a "scam" when it's what you agreed to up front.

Did you try and cancel after they sent the test? Or was the test lost in the post. It’s not clear.

Justann · 09/01/2026 18:16

They said it was compromised in the Post and they need to send a new test out.

Justann · 09/01/2026 18:20

Terms and conditions do not cover if their packaging not suitable and can cause test to be “compromised”. So yes I feel scammed

SilenceInside · 09/01/2026 18:24

You deciding to cancel is a separate point to the blood test getting broken. Wouldn’t they have sent you out a new blood test?

Edited

So they can send a new one. Either way once it’s dispatched you can’t cancel.

I have been waiting to have this done since 18th dec. when is enough time wasted

SilenceInside · 09/01/2026 21:11

@Justann Yes, it's a long time to wait to start medication. But Shemed are not a pharmacy, they offer a whole subscription programme for weight loss that includes lots of additional services, check ins, etc etc, plus the initial blood test that you need to do, send back and wait for the results. That's always going to be more involved than just having a consultation with an online pharmacy and being prescribed Mounjaro or Wegovy. There are lots and lots of online pharmacies you could use instead that would be very much quicker and not offer the kind of involved support programme that Shemed do.

That is a long time Christmas postal delays wouldn’t have helped. I certainly I didn’t wait that long. I only ended up using them for 3 months when it became apparently that the pricing model didn’t work for me as I wasn’t going to be needing over 5mg (at that time it was the same price for all strengths). So I had already cancellled by the time of the price rise.

I moved to an online pharmacy that I am very happy with but it’s not the same. At Shemed you are getting weekly weigh in, more support, them deciding what dose (IMO its ridiculous that that’s not the case with the online pharmacies).

Reading these latest posts on SheMed it's shocking how they are still fooling people. There is no medical expertise behind the company - the founders are Social Media influencers. They don't even have prescribing authority. All prescriptions are actually provided by a third party. That is why it all went wrong for them during the price increase as they had no control over the prices they had to charge their customers.
