any one else had sudden side effects after month in Mounjaro?
have been on Mounjaro since January and lost 4stHave two more to lose. i did 3 pens of 2.5, and 5 pens of 5mg. No side effects or so mild I can’t remember them. Last 5th dose of 5mg I used the whole of the remaining so I slightly titrated up dose

the first 7.5mg I was violent sick with vomiting, severe nausea and awful sulphur burps I though I had a stomach bug that
my mum had. I also had food aversion and severe nausea I couldn’t really eat and was full all the time. Barely eating due to the side effects.

I am unsure if it was a bug or the MJ as the symptoms were so severe.

I was still ill on day 7 had to cancel a lunch and delayed my jab until the next day and then the symptom were less but still there.

Week 4 at the weekend terrible upper gut stomach pains and after eating and constant diarrhoea after eating. Pain and diarrhoea so bad I had to take a day of work. Husband also had upset stomach (athlete- never ill). I could not eat

now day 8 and did not jab yesterday. I feel fine in my stomach and finally on Thursday was eating normally small healthy meals and yesterday had a pizza and chips (work event no choice not looking for advice in this just for info) and was totally fine.

I don’t know what to top do I jab today. 7.5 mg? Or 5 mg

long term do I move to wegovey? Taper off? With the price increase also feeling disillusioned!

So on both occasions other people were also ill?! Sounds like a bug rather than side effects?

I have never had such severe side effects but I do find when I titrate up too fast I feel rough. The best dose for you is the one below what you can tolerate.

You do not HAVE to move up the doses unless you feel that the existing dose has become ineffective. When i moved from 7. 5-10 I had to click count to administer 9mg for a few weeks as straight to 10 made me feel rough all week.

I am now able to administer 10 with just small issues day after jab (mild headache, tiredness) and then I feel fine.

Maybe try a 6mg dose for a few weeks before moving up to full 7.5?

The fact that on both occasions someone close to you was also ill means that the likeliest explanation is a bug, both times. Unlucky but not unheard of. It's possible the MJ exacerbated your symptoms but it doesn't sound like the origin of them. If you are experiencing good suppression on 5mg otherwise then I would personally stay there.

Thanks everyone that’s all really helpful and supportive. I’m going to go for 6mg good idea @SepticPegsSepticLeg

How many clicks is 6mg I can’t math today.

Id Plateaued for 2 months in 5mg so need a bit more.

48 clicks of 7.5mg pen for 6mg dose.

6/ 7.5 x 60 = 48 (0.125mg per click)
