Those with a low TDEE, are you staying on a maintenance dose?

My TDEE is about 1460 calories (5 ft 4, 146 pounds) so I'm not losing much each week now because my deficit isnt what it was when I weighed 60 pounds more.
From what I understand, if I eat more than my TDEE calories I will gain weight. It explains why I gained so easily previously. 1460 isnt alot of calories! Anyone else have numbers this low and manage to come off the jabs or are you staying on maintenance? If so, were you able to taper down to a lower dose? Im on 12.5mg mounjaro but going down to 10 because my appetite is too supressed. I'd like to get to a very low dose but unsure I can if I need to eat so little.

My TDEE is higher than that but I can't keep to it without Mounjaro so I'll be on it as long as I can. I am titrating down but it's difficult as my appetite increases. I never had a hugely suppressed appetite anyway!

My BMR is about 1200 calories so I've got to be super careful. I'm switching to Wegovy for maintenance and I'll be staying on long term.

This is my concern. I’m short and postmenopausal, and my TDEE at goal, which is now only 4Lb away is a not very generous 1417.

I’d originally planned to stay on 5mg, but due to the price increases, I am thinking about trying to maintain on 2.5. I am seriously worried about going cold turkey.

I have also really enjoyed the lack of food noise over the past few months. It has been nice to eat and enjoy a salad, and feel full afterwards.

My TDEE is a little higher because I do an obscene amount of exercise but yes, I am currently maintaining on 5mg and plan to long term.

I haven’t/ don’t really count calories but have a good idea how much I actually eat in a day. At this point, I basically eat when I am hungry and stop when I am not and so far my weight is holding fairly steady (dropping if anything!).

I have no intention of coming off as the food noise (and alcohol noise!!) would be back and making my life hell!!

Everyone’s TDEE is shockingly much lower than they think - and sadly needs to be recalculated and readjusted downwards after each stone lost - to reflect smaller body otherwise we plateau - and its why we gained weight in the first place.

You read everywhere that a woman needs 2000 a day. At 58, 160cms and not especially active I absolutely don’t.

I am 66kg now - still BMI of 26 but I am a size 10 and don’t want my face to collapse inwards - so going on to maintaining after 15kg loss. I went up the doses each month to 10mg and back down then to now about to crack into a 5mg pen.

I am going to either take 2.5mg each week or 5mg each fortnight for a year as I need to embed this achievement. At my age I have lost and gained the same 3stone so many times before - that I know I (mind and body) can’t be trusted.

It’s just finding out the lowest dose that gets me through.

I have doing intermittent fasting 2 meals a day. First meal I have worked up to holding out until 3pm (usually eggs or yogurt/seeds/berries) so I am still full for my evening meal at 7pm.

I now don’t feel any ‘hunger’ until after I have eaten at 3pm - and then this hunger feeling about an hour after I have eaten soon passes. I have learned this during MJ about my body as the mental capacity to be able to be mindful of your body is made available now that the food noise isn’t sabotaging everything and preoccupying my thoughts, self esteem, feelings, behaviours.

I am also conscious from my TDEE that I only a daily KitKat and flat white away from being obese again.

Yes, according to my scales my BMR is 1168 and while I do exercise, it’s not a huge amount and I have a sedentary job, so my TDEE is around 1400. I am maintaining now and on my way down the doses (I was on 15mg briefly, but settled on 10mg for several months). I have got down to 6.8mg so far with no problems. I will come off MN if I can, but staying on say 5mg or lower would also be fine. Like a PP I try to eat when I’m hungry and just enough, which typically means eating for the first time late morning or lunchtime.
