Reached a major goal

I wanted to share the news here as I haven’t in rl, but after 14months on mj (with a break of a few months), I have reached a goal of 5 stone weight loss.

it’s fab to have done this and I have at least 3 stone to go, but am v proud of myself and so glad I started this journey.

i had bad side effects after 3 months, so stopped for a few months.
Saddened by the huge price increases but hopefully I won’t be on the high prices for long as I can’t afford them.

i love not feeling hungry all the time and not wanting food.

Congratulations! I've been on MJ for about the same time. I've lost over 6 stone and can't believe how different I feel.

I want to lose another 3-4 stone. My weightloss has slowed down but I figure it didn't go on in a hurry so slow is fine.

Enjoy your success!

That’s wonderful, so well done!!

I have been on mj since March and I have lost four stone
It really has been life changing for me

Congratulations @Ilovethewild! I find that I’ve introduced some positive habits that even when I’ve taken a few weeks breaks have massively helped; so like you when I have to come off them I’m hoping to be in a better place . Basically loads more water and protein !

Well done OP what a fantastic achievement:)

Thanks folks, tried on size 14 jeans today and they fit! It been a few years since I fitted them.
i can’t recall ever being smaller than a size 14, and it’s my next major goal… size 12 🥳

Well done OP!

Amazing, well done op. I’m about 1.5kg off my goal, I can’t believe I’m nearly there. Are you doing anything to mark reaching your goal? I think I need to but not sure what to do 😂

Ilovethewild · 13/09/2025 19:20

“Marking the reach of a goal”, I hadn’t really thought about that.

currently, knowing I fit those 14s in my wardrobe is enough celebrating for me 🥳 and being able to continue towards being a healthy weight/size and an improved relationship with food. I have never bought myself a size 12 in clothing, that’s a future goal.

really proud of myself and I recall the horror of having to weigh myself to start the journey. I did that every week and really worked on it not being a short term high weight loss aim (or happy with a loss and upset if I plateaued) but a recognition of this being the start of a lifelong change.
