Strange Q-evidence

Hello!

I'm on a v long term journey (started 22st11) and just thinking what evidence should I be saving for the future if I need to move to a different pharmacy?

And what counts as evidence?

I'm not sure how I'd evidence my starting weight for example.

I've got screen shots of my pharmacy orders do they count?

For my recent pen I took a photo of my recent box but I didn't take these early, on.

Just wondering what I should be recording or saving!

Take photo of everything as of now, especially your boxes, they are proof of your prescriptions, if you're still over 30 then you'll be ok, if you're still with same pharmacy, but once you get under they start being more picky when swapping pharmacies and going up doses
Not sure if screen shots count, you'd have to ask the pharmacist involved.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 07/09/2025 13:30

Yes I'm quite a bit over 30 (I think I'm 36) so just planning for the future.

I've just realised I can download the "letter to the gp" in lieu of prescriptions from the pharmacy I was with so I've done that for all the prescriptions.

I've no idea how to evidence weight.

I'll start taking photos of boxes.

Although how does that work for those who use the boxes more than 4 weeks/stockpiled? (I've only got one more box)

I guess as long as we're honest about what we've done it will be okay?

Makes sense to save as much evidence as you can incase the GPhC gets more stringent. Oushk where asked how they proved a transferring patient originally had an eligible BMI and challenged that previous prescribing was not enough evidence of initial eligibility.

I have a copy of my annual health report from my GP (got it emailed as I am in Scotland and we don't have the NHS app).

It doesn't show my starting BMI of 45 last June, but does show my weight, height and BMI which was still eligible at 36 in November. It also shows blood tests from then, and I have copies of repeat prescriptions for high blood pressure meds back then (don't need the meds now) - the later shouldn't be needed but keeping them just in case.

Alternatively if you don't have anything from your Dr and you are still BMI > 30 you could perhaps have a health check at a local pharmacy who can sign with their GPhC registration number and stamp with their pharmacy stamp which might be enough. I would try to get something that has been independently verified which you are still >30 and save it somewhere.

I have downloaded from my provider all my prescriptions and have them saved incase I need them.

I've just screenshotted from mh NHS app a few consultations with my height and weight in. But it's a screenshot. We don't have an annual report as such.

I am thinking when I get closer to 30 (hopefully spring next year) I might need more evidence?

Would taking photos of me standing with the date work?

I guess anything digital can be manipulated I was just thinking ahead how much I need.

And yes I'm worried long term about stricter controls (well not worried as I have seen so much misuse I welcome them - just worried I have the right evidence eon place.)

Maybe photos of my saggy leftover skin would prove it 😂

I started at bmi33 with one provider and moved to current one at bmi28.

I am bmi25.1 now and on maintenance so not planning to move.

Akaik a new prescriber would need photos of the past 3 months box and label .

I think if i really needed evidence of starting weight to continue I would be able to switch back to my previous provider. Both are mid range in terms of price.

Lol at saggy leftover skin! Me too!

Fab will photo all future boxes! Thankyou.

Hi @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden

I've changed providers several times in my 21 months. I've been with Voy, Medino, Numan, Juniper, Chemist 4U and CheqUp.

None of the subsequent ones (after Voy) wanted or needed any evidence of my starting weight. They all wanted a screenshot of my most recent MJ box.

They also quite often wanted a picture of me standing on the scales, to prove my current weight - especially now that prescribing is being tightened up.

Out of them all, Medino has been the cheapest and easiest to deal with. I'm going to stick with them, because although their communications after the price rises were poor, I like their pharmacist, and I can ring him anytime for advice. A 15mg pen on Medino is £260 with the discount.

CheqUp are very cheap for Wegovy at the moment. I have one Wegovy pen which I panic-bought. I don't know when or if I'll use it.

If you'd like a Medino code for 10% off, let me know. I also have a £50 discount referral for CheqUp if you let me have your email address.

Fab will photo all future boxes! Thankyou.

Honestly, all they want is a photo of the most recent box.

That goes for every single one of the pharmacies I've dealt with.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 07/09/2025 14:38

Thanks @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne ❤️. I've had one pen from Medino so far so will stick with them while I'm on 10mg (paharmulous looked cheaper I'd I move up).
I'm nowhere near 25bmi but it was after being asked for current photo for medino that I worried what they'd want if I ever got below 25bmi as obviously I'd be under new person prescribing guidelines..!

I'll take photos of boxes! Great to hear Medino is good as I'm hoping to stay on 10 for a while and will probably find it easier to stay with one for a bit.

With Medino - is there any issue ordering ireegulalry or 5 weekly? I'm not there yet but think I had a regular customer code that might have needed to be used within 4 weeks. Do they always send that?

Oh even easier. I am probably over thinking (again!)

I always order about every 4/5 weeks. They send a reminder just before the 4 weeks is up.

Yes, it does need to be used within 4 weeks. They always send a reminder to use that, too.

Do they always send that?

Yes, they do. It can be used to buy anything. (I get Vit D capsules, Acidex suspension (for heartburn) and toothbrushes, for example, as well as MJ.)

To be honest, all they really care about is getting your ££ in their hands.
I wish it wasn't the case, but it is.
They're always happy to have previous customers back.
