Extra dose and needles

I am now a day over, with no sign of my pen arriving. I've never attempted to use the so-called golden dose before but I'm desperate. Can anyone tell me how to go about it and where to order the needles from? Looked on Amazon so I can get them tomorrow but I'm confused as to which may be the right ones.

I'm sorry @idrinkandiknowthings this stock situation is so stressful for so many people.

I get mine from UKmedi.

you want a 1ml syringe; this is the syringe I use, with the needle pre attached. the needles are a little longer, but still small enough to be subcutaneous.

Or you can get the luer lock ones where you attach the needle yourself.
I haven't bought any from Amazon as I am concerned they are not sterile, medical grade. But at least by looking at the links you will get a good idea of what you are looking for
You should also get some alcohol swabs.

These are the same size needles as the pen has.

When you withdraw the medication you will feel some resistance, that is normal, just be patient.
Withdraw more than you need (0.6ml is a full dose), then prime as you would the MJ pen, until you are at the correct dose.

I've bought from SHD medical, quick delivery but prob too late now to come tomorrow. They sent them 1st class though and cost is just under £5. Look for 30-31G and a 1ml syringe. The one I use has a 12mm needle which I inject half way.

I think you can just go into any pharmacy and buy them too.

There are also some very helpful videos on YouTube on extracting the 5th dose - just search it up. I was really scared the first time, but it's v easy.

've literally just had an email from MedExpress saying that my pen has been dispatched. I'll be having a go at that extra dose, though!!

I tried it for the first time 2 weeks ago. I had thrown my other pen away, not knowing about the extra dose.

It was pretty easy although I bent the first needle when trying to draw it out, so had to use a second needle/syringe.

Do you use the golden dose as week 5 and then order the next lot a week later? Xx

Nah I ordered same time .. but Asda takes/took forever so I was covered if that makes sense.

Can I just ask...I'm on 5ml and should have injected Monday. If I inject tonight will I be okay with the 5 or should I reduce it as I'm a few days over? My side effects settled down and I'm not anxious to revisit them!

I think the instructions say you can delay up to 4 days without changing dose so you should be fine
