How do I know how much ‘golden dose’ there will be?

I have a 7.5 pen with liquid left in it. I’m very tempted to purchase syringes and extract the leftover BUT what if it’s less than the 7.5 dose I ‘should’ be taking? Does anyone know roughly how much liquid there is usually leftover in a pen?
Thank you.

Unless you've gone absolutely mad priming the pen when you've done 'regular' doses there will be enough left over.
The insulin syringes are 1ml and you need 0.6 (so 6 on the scale on the side of the syringe) for a full dose.
Draw out a little more than 0.6mls so you can prime the syringe before use.

Also, try to get syringes with either 5 or 6mm needles. A lot of them have 8mm needles.
If you can only get 8mm ones, when you inject push the needle in at a 45 degree angle rather than straight in.

Thank you so much - your replies are much appreciated. I have never extracted before and I’m quite anxious about it as it feels ‘off piste’ - but it also feels horribly wasteful of ££££ to throw away that precious liquid!

I know, I dithered for about 3 pens before I finally did it 😂
