Elcella - anyone else trying it?

Hi, name changed for this, I’ve purchased a month’s supply to try and I’m coming up to a week and think it’s really helped me to quieten the food thoughts. However taking it as recommended at lunch and dinner means the mornings are hard so I’m experimenting when’s best to take it. Just wondered if anyone else is trying it and how they’ve found it?

I’ve been taking Elcella for over three months now. I’m definitely eating less between meals and thinking less about food. I’ve put on 3 kilos and dress size though. Gym four times a week and careful food choices. So disheartening.

that is disheartening for you - what are your measurements like?

CuriousBat · 16/01/2026 07:37

Elcella are now doing a referral code if anyone is interested.

CuriousBat · 16/01/2026 07:41

I’ve found over the last month - my watch is reporting better sleep scores and body battery level s.
My bowels are performing better
I’m eating less generally but still enjoying food.

overall I’m feeling less unwell than on the WLI

Bust and hips are constant. Waist up from 31 to 33 which does make me unhappy.

renthead · 16/01/2026 13:11

@CuriousBat I’m interested!

@sighbynight That's disappointing

Just starting my second bottle.
i do think I’m starting to feel fuller quicker.
Not eating a huge lunch.
Am having a biscuit mid morning.
Have found some days I’m not that fussed about having tea/dinner then others want/need it and can enjoy a bit more.

Started taking them nearer 2 hours before meal, seems to be better for me. I do notice if food is delayed I start to feel the need to eat.

Not particularly lost any weight but then again not really gained over Christmas either.

definitely sleeping better and bowels are working really well (not constipated or loose)

Jury is still out on weight loss, this bottle I plan to review what I am eating and make better choices.

I think they kicked in about 3 days ago. So about 6 weeks in.

Suddenly couldn’t finish and sandwich and no real interest now. Food noise definitely reduced!

That interesting - I start week 6 on Wednesday

CuriousBat · 19/01/2026 21:13

Just in case you all don’t know there’s a private Elcella Community group on Facebook

Elcella are an admin and do respond on there

It didn’t last!

2 months in. Still ravenous. Just eaten cheesecake and chocolate coins😖

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 26/01/2026 23:04

I thought l’d come back and update.

11 weeks. 4lbs heavier.

I started to get really bad reflux around the time l started Elcella, but as it had ‘no side effects’ l never connected it. I’m on the waiting list to see a Gastro. I stopped taking it 2 days ago. Reflux gone.

The horrible clawing pains in my stomach have gone. They felt like constant hunger pangs.

AND my appetite has reduced since stopping it. Whilst it did calm food noise l thought l was much hungrier but couldn’t understand why. I wasn’t hungry in the mornings when l woke up, but would be ravenous by lunch time and would get hungrier all through the day. I’d wake up at night and go and eat stuff.

I really was confused as to what was happening but the ravenous hunger has definitely definitely gone. I’ve just got normal hunger now. The hunger as the day went on l found really confusing, as the opposite usually happens with me.

So best of luck to the rest of you.

£600 to put on 4 lbs and become ravenous. With reflux and stomach pains thrown in. What a rip off.

Hi all. Just wanted to share that there’s an article on Elcella on Mail Online. I haven’t read it, but the headline implies that it’s a positive take on it. Here’s the link. It’s behind a paywall, but I generally get Mail articles to work by putting the URL into either archive.ph or smry.ai.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/lifestyle/fitness-wellbeing/article-15475245/Like-women-fat-jabs-lose-two-stone-three-months-natural-Ozempic-pills-JANE-ALEXANDER-suffered-zero-effects-heres-exact-lost.html

It depends on what you see as positive. She’s saying worth a try, but this is the key statement from the article :

“So, bottom line, are these pills honestly an alternative to the weight loss jabs? Not at this point,' says Lucy. 'They don't act on the body in the same way as drugs like Mounjaro or Ozempic, which are pharmaceutical grade GLP-1 receptor agonists with clear, dose-controlled effects. 'Elcella may mimic part of that mechanism by trying to stimulate natural GLP-1 production but it's unlikely to do it with anywhere near the same potency, predictability or clinical outcome.'

Just wanted to share my 2 month check in.

Month 1 - no change in weight, but a noticeable, but small, reduction in appetite. Flat weight was due to me still snacking and eating poor quality food in December. I usually put on a couple of pounds in December so this wasn’t a bad outcome.

Month 2 - 2 kilo loss. Significant reduction in appetite after week 6 making it much easier for me to reduce my carbs and make better choices. The food noise reduced after week 7 and I can easily walk past an open pack of sweets or biscuits without a glance. I’ve only ever experienced this fall off in food noise before when I was on adhd meds

verdict - I’m glad I’ve stuck with it because it has taken time to see the benefits. It isn’t a magic pill that burns fat - it’s a tool to help make healthy eating easier. Now my appetite is lower, switching to low carb, avoiding snacking, etc is easier. I’ve had no side effects so far.

I will report back on progress at the end of month 3!

Hi @PerditaNitt - just wondered if you’re still sticking with it? X

Yep, still on it. I’ve got another 4ish weeks of the 12 week intro programme to go.

In another 2 weeks, I will contact elcella and see if they recommend I stick with this dose or reduce it slightly after the 12 weeks is up.

Im really enjoying being able to stick to my diet without feeling hungry (and derailing myself). Im also using Chat GPT as a diet coach. Im tracking my macros on Zoe and then sharing feedback daily with AI which is giving me realtime advice.

Oh that’s brilliant!! When did the effects kick in for you? X

PerditaNitt · 07/02/2026 11:38

i had a slight reduction in appetite in the first 6 weeks. Food noise dropped after week 6/7.

CuriousBat · 17/02/2026 13:59

I’m not sure where I’m at with this - now week 8 been so much going on in my life over that period.

Not been actively dieting, so weight loss is not happening.
My appetite is reduced - on a few days recently I’ve forgotten to eat at least one meal.

I can also report that apparently my snoring has reduced and I’m sleeping better.

Fluffypiece · 17/02/2026 14:08

Oh that sounds positive - sorry it sounds like you’re Havjng a trying time - hopefully things will settle down x

superbiensur · 21/02/2026 16:17

Any updates from anyone who has been on this for a few months? I’m now 4+ months in consistently taking it and, while I have seen a slight reduced appetite and had some glimmers of mild success a couple of pounds here and there, am going to conclude it’s not been worth the expense for me and will stop after this bottle. I think if I wasn’t perimenopausal and quite short (hence I feel I have to go v low cal these days to see a difference) the lower appetite might have worked, but I think I need to aggressively calorie count alongside these supplements to see a difference.. which makes me think I should just do that and not have spend hundreds of pounds! Interested if anyone else has seen a longer term difference
