Help, I messed up my injection!

I just took my 3rd dose of 5mg and properly managed to mess it up. Like an idiot, I decided to try injecting it in my arm for a change. I started injecting ok but used my index finger to push the plunger and ran out of oomph roughly 2/3 of the way through. I tried to readjust my grip but the pen slid out and bent the needle so the rest of the dose went down my arm.
Clearly I'm never doing that again but not sure what to do now as i didnt get a full dose. Do I just wait a week and reinject with the normal 5mg dose? Or do I wait a few days and see if I get any side effects and reinject with some of the 5th dose, treating it like a split dose? Can I still reinject with 5mg next week if I didn't get the full 5mg this week or do I have to go back down?

I had some pain while injecting this week and some fluid came out. I just stuck to my plan. Unless you're sure much you lost I'd just forget it happened

ouch that sounds painful and you are right that it is actually quite hard to push in the full dose so I don’t think you should be too hard on yourself.

I wouldn’t jab again as you have most likely had at least some of your dose so I would plan to take your next dose on schedule.

BUT - you could consider taking your next dose a day or two earlier if you feel you are losing suppression. It is within the license to take a dose after 4 days, so monitor your symptoms. If it’s going OK stick to plan A, but if your suppression is fading you could think about jabbing early.

This is what I would do.

I jab in my arm and find it easier with a syringe than with the pen, for that very reason!

id try and stick it out this week with what you managed to inject. If you really struggle then I’d inject a small amount if you need to, but under what you estimated (so 1/4 rather than 1/3, something like that). You’ll be ok taking the full 5mg dose next week as normal, there’ll still be residual medication in your system from previous doses anyway.

Just leave it. You can’t estimate how much went in

If it's any consolation I made a right pigs ear of my injection today. The first needle didn't go on properly so I took it off and put a second one on. Then the pen slipped in my hand and I managed to stab myself in the finger with it, so that needle was bent. Put a third needle on and inserted into my thigh then realised I hadn't even loaded the dose. I annoy myself with my own ineptitude sometimes
