Mounjaro Withdrawals?

Hey, so after hitting my goal of 5 and a half stone weight loss I decided to stop taking MJ, cold turkey, a few weeks ago. (The price rises contributed to me going cold turkey)

I never fully went up the doses. I started last October with one 2.5mg pen, did two 5mg pens then went to 7.5mg for one pen then back down to 5mg for the rest of my journey.

Last week after about a week and a half of not being on MJ I started with watery diarrhea - now I did think this was due to having an oat milk espresso as I dont tolerate oat milk well. But here I am one week on and still suffering with watery bowels (the book girls will laugh at this Grin) one week on and im thinking is it a side effect of the MJ leaving my system and my digestive tract moving faster again?

Anyone else experience this?

Could you have been constipated before and maybe still are, often the water is a sign of compacting. Otherwise I’d suggest it’s you’re now eating stuff you’re not used to for awhile.

I’d say it’s some other health problem. Not everything is due to Mounjaro.

How did you find your appetite giving up? I’m thinking of quitting next month because of all the supply problems and cost hikes. I’ve been on it 18months. I’m still overweight but BMI now below 30. Just terrified of undoing all the good work.

I thought it was watery due to bile acid malapsorption as I dont have a gallbladder!

My diet has been healthy I havent been eating anything I didnt whilst on it! Still calorie counting too!

It maybe is a different medical issue!

My appetite is still quite curbed as in I can't over eat, like I am still feeling fuller when eating!

I do however have some cravings but im calorie counting and I do allow myself some treats within my allowance because you cant abstain for life.

Yes, I agree can’t abstain for life. I intend to watch my weight very carefully and stick to what I’ve been eating plus hopefully upping the exercise a bit. I’ve been on it for 18months and also lost even more weight before that by my own efforts - diet and exercise. If anything, I have already been having the odd treat on the jab because you can’t go without for ever. I will have to be stricter with myself for a while and see how it goes. Sadly past experience has been I have regained a lot.
