Do you have days where you can’t eat proper meals?

I’m on my second week, and I haven’t been able to bring myself to eat a proper meal today. I don’t know why. I just don’t fancy anything proper so have been grazing on small things. I had two eggs and some halloumi for dinner so not the worst? I’m in a deficit and not big, I’ve eaten 1400ish calories. Feel a bit odd today, I’ve been eating meals and that’s it and today it’s been small and often throughout the day as I can’t face a full meal. Is this normal while I’m still adjusting to have random days like this

Some days I can’t eat anything at all. Just drinks. Not good I know.

Right at the start I really struggled, it was awful. I stuck with it though and gradually became able to eat more.

Regular small meals at set times is the way to go, so that your body learns to expect food.

I think my expectations have adjusted too, so a couple of eggs, some halloumi plus some veg like raw carrots or some fruit would be a meal now.

Yes, happened at the start. Had a protein shake then, would that work? I really didn't want to starve myself and lose muscle mass.

The early days was my chocolate milk period (can't stand protein shakes) until I got myself into a strict routine of 3 small meals a day. I am eating more now, but the first few weeks were really strange.

Yes, I think that’s pretty common but as long as you’re getting enough calories you’ll be fine. I’ve definitely been eating too little in the last couple of weeks and my weight loss seemed to stall. As soon as I bumped them back up to 1100-1200, I started slowly losing again.

But on a regular day I’ll eat 3 x small protein-rich meals. I’m a creature of habit so have eggs or porridge for breakfast, a tuna (with veggies) wrap for lunch and then for dinner, something like chicken or fish with salad or (current favourite!) sausages, beans and mushrooms. I’m typically only putting food on half the plate as I can’t manage any more than that.

Never! I could probably manage a 3 course meal.
