Would you go up a dose?

I've been on Wegovy for 5 weeks. Took my first injection of my new pen last Tuesday. In 5 weeks I've lost 13lbs which I'm absolutely thrilled about. I've been on the lowest dose for both pens. This week I have felt hungrier but not overly so and have still managed to lose so that's good. I also think I may have mucked up the pen as I totally forgot to prime it and when I removed the needle, quite a lot of fluid came out. So is it possible I didn't give myself a full dose?

Anyway I'm going on holiday tomorrow for 10 days and due to how busy Medexpress are, they're saying it's 7-10 days for dispatch which means I'll need to order while I'm away.

I'm wondering if I should stick to the lowest dose as I've done so well on it, or should I go up one as I've felt a bit hungrier this week. Obviously for cost reasons I'd like to stay on the lowest!

Firstly, despite mere press saying they are busy my order was dispatched the same day I ordered so be careful assuming a long delivery time.

I’ve no idea about the dosing with wegovy I’m afraid so hope someone else can help.

I’m on Mounjaro and kept to lowest dose for second month - 2 weeks in and def feel hungrier and thinking maybe I should have gone up last month. Can you split the dose with Wegovy? Again apologies not sure if the pens are the same

My experience is that if you are starting to find hunger creeping back in, then it is time to go up a dose. If you stay on the same dose this hunger (and food noise) will probably increase, as has often been reported by those who chose to stay on a lower dose and then wished they had moved up.
I learnt from their experiences and moved up when hunger in between meals, and/or the medication was wearing off significantly on days 6/7.

@Sunseekingdaffodil I don't know if you can split doses - I'll need to look into that. That's good to know that medexpress aren't taking as long as reported. Id still have another one dose even if I give myself some extra time.

@MagnoliaTreePetals I think you're right and I don't want to undo all the progress I've made so I do think it's time to increase.

I’d change jab site before going up a dose. I get much higher suppression injecting in my arm than my stomach. You might find you’re the same and then you can stay on the lower doses for longer.

Oh this is really interesting. I didn't even know that could be a thing! I do my upper leg just now. I'll do my arm next time and see.

in theory it doesn’t make a difference, all the testing shows it reacts the same way - but from personal experience it definitely makes a difference!
I jabbed in my stomach for the first six weeks or so and then tried my arm. When I went back to my stomach after two weeks it was like I had no suppression at all and wanted to eat everything. Gone back to the arm ever since, I’m on my fourth pen of 2.5mg now.
