Mounjaro for maintenance after a break of 12 weeks?

Has anyone been prescribed as a maintenance customer after a break? I was offered maintenance for the last 4 pens I ordered but I stayed on the usual path.

I tried to go cold turkey but the last 12 weeks have been awful. I’d now like to go back on MJ on a maintenance plan and come off slowly. When I’ve given my details, including proof that I’ve been on MJ, they say my BMI is too low (22.3). Has anyone managed to get BACK on MJ for maintenance after a break?

Thank you… I should have said- I tried a couple of the BMI 21s from there and got turned down!

Try Oushk they have maintenance plans which i am on. I think with the current stock issues everyone is out of stock until 1st september when prices change though including oushk. Look at www.monj.co.uk

Have you tried that pharmacies on the “returning after a break” list? https://monj.co.uk/restarting-mounjaro-uk/ It’s probably a bad time to try just at the moment due to all the chaos, so may be worth waiting until September when stock will be back and demand much lower so I expect pharmacies will be wanting to attract new customers again.

I’d be very interested to hear how you get on. I’m currently with Oushk, I’d rather not pay £15 a month just to keep open access if I struggle to come off but feel that may be what I have to do. Oushk aren’t on the list above but it might be worth booking a maintenance consultation with them as they do have very specific maintenance plans (no, I don’t buy into the silly hype but I’ve had no problems with them as a supplier).

I would give it a month for all the madness to calm down then try again. I moved to Oushk for maintenance but others offer it now.

Agree with @Doggymummar , very few places are supplying any new customers just now, try when things have settled down in September and ordering will be much lower due to stockpiling and they might give your consultant more consideration. Or you might even be able to call some and ask directly,

Try Swift. They agreed I can do maintenance and order 2.5mg pens with a gap. My BMI is now 23. They asked for a photo.…

Thank you @MeridaBrave! What’s your plan? Do you think you’ll go back up, or stay at 2.5? Also, did it go through? I’ve paid for a few and they’ve ended up refunded 🙄x

I’m on 2.5mg now and at some point I’ll take
a break, and see how I feel. Totally open to restarting… I’m also open to split / micro dosing, eg 1.25mg.

Btw I would email them directly rather than doing the online form.

Still haven’t find anyone who’ll actually prescribe off that list! I keep getting recommended other things like capsules or getting refunded due to BMI, even though some of them say 21! Anyone had any luck? :(

Have you actually spoken to any rather than just trying to order? That worked for me with oushk when i decided to go back on for maintenance. I had a chat with customer service to explain and then they processed my application.

They have to be really careful because of the GMC advice, and to be honest, you’re probably not going to be the most profitable customer if they can only supply you 2.5mg and it’s only for a short amount of time. I know you’re planning to stay on a low dose for a long time but they’ll have to be aware of the limits in not being able to prescribe to you any longer. Their recommendations are probably fair.

Are you actually talking to them, or just doing the online forms?

Who supplied you before; they are probably your best bet?

Have you actually put any weight back on ? I’ve now hit what I feel comfortable with , my bmi is still 25 , but unsure what to do so currently jabbing every 10 days until pens runs out then no idea ! Also panicking weight will go back on
