God what a night. You know when people say ‘ I was on the loo all night?’ Well, I genuinely was. Woke at midnight feeling griping stomach pains, dashed to toilet. Still there at 7.30am, only leaving twice to fetch supplies to clean up sick as yep, I got the double whammy. It’s just like someone has turned a tap on and it’s pure liquid - sorry for the TMI

Anyway, I’ve been on maintenance now since last December and have maintained a BMI of about 22.5 ish since then - I change my dose slightly but last jabbed on Friday and took 5mg

Ive never had any side effects of note. Can’t think of a single thing so how likely is it that the jab has suddenly decided to do me dirty?

of course I’d usually consider a stomach bug but I’m not sure about that. 5 days ago I urgently needed to loo and had diarrhoea 3 times in one day (but nothing like last night!) and again, this happened a couple of days ago . And yesterday lunch time it happened again. So I feel there’s been a bit of a lead up to last night

Has anyone else developed stomach issues this late into their journey? I’m sat in bed now with some electrolytes and it’s been two hours since I’ve needed the loo so I’m really hoping it’s over now

I also sometimes wonder at taking similar doses of MJ weighing 9 stone 7 as I did when I was 15 stone. . Maybe my body is just saying no thank you

I can’t answer your question but I think you have yourself!

I would put it down to your lighter body not being able to cope with the strength.

I often read about WLI here, it’s interesting.
Sorry about your terrible night / experience…

But, wait? You can take MJ at 9.5 stone?
I thought you’d stop once the weight is lost?

PillarPansy · 24/08/2025 14:53

Yes, sounds like a reduction in dosage is required. Maybe your body’s way of telling you 🧡. Any reason you’ve stayed on 15 mg - now that you’ve reached target? I thought people normally went lower for maintenance.

HeronandChips · 24/08/2025 15:04

@PillarPansyoh I’ve never gone above 7.5! 15 would probably finish me off. I’m working back to 5 now

@Gowlett have a google if you’re interested. Far more out there than I can say but yep - maintenance is a thing and the newest emerging studies show that most people regain if they stop . It’s a whole other story but really, you’d need to do your research if you’re curious

I’m still in bed and can’t eat yet but keeping in a lime cordial for now

I doubt it has anything to do with the injections to be honest. After that period of time with no reaction I would say it’s most likely something you ate or a stomach bug.

Thebigonesgetaway · 24/08/2025 15:10

I also doubt it’s the drugs, I think you’ve eaten something dodgy. It’s very easy to make everything the drugs fault. People get food poisoning routinely.

HeronandChips · 24/08/2025 15:13

@Thebigonesgetawayyes maybe. Although I’ve had an off stomach for almost a week but blimey - not like last night! I’m vegan which reduces food poisoning risk but of course not beyond getting it! And it could be a bug I’ve picked up

I definitely felt a bit poisoned last night though, that’s for sure.
