Wegovy 7.2 and maintenance

So many people will need to be on WLI long term. My question is does the effect of the WLI continue forever?

wegovy are bringing out a 7.2 dose. Until now the top dose is 2.4 but they have trialled successfully 7.2 and it is about to released.

This high dose gives results more similar to Mounjaro. tests show people who can tolerate 2.4 are generally able to tolerate 7.2.

I’m confused about the massive jump. Why not have 5mg in the titration. How is it reasonable to go:

0.25
0.5
1.0
1.7
2.4
7.2

turns out many people were not getting the benefits on 2.4 and I think to continue to compete against Mounjaro the bakers tested 7.2 and its fine.

also turns out many people on 2.4 for a long time find it stops working. So my question is, wouldn’t that suggest any dose would stop working eventually?

sorry my post seems like a dump of separate statements!

If they say people on 2.4mg can tolerate 7.2mg it might potentially be to make them competitive without too many item codes which will be more cost effective for them to supply.

I have read some people on 15mg of Mounjaro have also said it has stopped working for them, but that could be very subjective, down to expectations - what I think is enough for me on 3.75mg (no suppression, but some food noise control) the same effects might not be satisfying the needs or expectations of someone else on 15mg.

If there is money to be made WLI will continue to be developed to meet needs.

Does anyone know when the 7.2 becomes available?
