8mm, 6mm or 4mm needle to get the golden dose

About to get some needles to get the golden dose out the mounjaro Kwik pen.

I know that 32g is finer than 30g for the needle but was wondering which length I need to get, seen options for 4, 6 and 8? Wasn't sure if it was shorter if it would reach the medication to pull it out.

I tried 5 chemists yesterday to get insulin needle to no avail. Was due it Sunday so really wanted it today at latest. Won't be getting new pen until early next week also. It's also gonna be the last one I get so didn't wanna be buying a pack of them I won't need!!

I wouldn't put it in too far but I'm just worried it's too thick and will hurt 😂

Might try twist with pillars first as I never had any luck doing it by hand before.

It’s just as easy to use the syringe to extract the golden dose and inject as it is to pop a needle onto the pen. I’ve been doing this for months with zero issues.

Just buy the 8mm micro needles recommended above and get on with it.

I use 32 4mm. Nice and short and thin, same as the needles that come with the pen

The thing I find tricky is that pushing the very fine needle through the seal can blunt it, and then it’s harder to push into me.

Sometimes I’ve had to abandon a dose because the needle got too blunt. Now I know to be extra careful because only one attempt can be made on the seal by each needle before it blunts.

I suppose I should do the cunning thing someone upthread does with syringes that you can change the needle on, but I have a big stash of fixed needle ones and also am crap at fiddly stuff.
