Advice on starting Wegovy

I have just ordered my first prescription of Wegovy. I was planning on Mounjaro but I couldn’t justify the cost. What are people’s views on Wegovy? Is it as affective? Anything that I should be doing whilst on Wegovy?

I haven't started yet, but am also interested in any advice that might be available.

I lost 4 stone on it and have kept the weight off.

Are you on a maintenance jab now or are you able to come off it?
Ive got it sitting in an online basket and don’t know whether to get it or not.

No I stopped taking it about a year ago. It's been fine.

Is Wegovy the same as ozempic

@TEARELBO yes, Wegovy is semaglutide which is also what’s in Ozempic. It’s the same drug made by the same manufacturer just different branding.

I bought it and had my first jab yesterday. Feeling a bit nervous but hopeful.
I feel nauseous this morning, and still full from
yesterday's dinner. Is this how it feels for others on the jab?

Am about to start Wegovy today. Didn’t want to start another thread so thought I’d comment on here to see if it’s going Ok and any tips?

I’m finding the suppression isn’t as strong as what I’ve read on here with MJ
im on week 10 and now onto 0.5 and I still have to resist treats and use will power.
ive had very little side effects apart from a few nights of insomnia in the beginning weeks and also a feeling of being on edge for the first few weeks.

i chose wegovy because of the slower weight loss.
ive lost 10 lbs in the first 4 weeks, then gained and lost the same 3lbs until increasing the dose
Plan to weigh in again next week once my period is away

Im starting wegovy tomorrow. I had 8 weeks on 2.5mg MJ and the 4 weeks on 5mg. I lost 13 lbs whilst on the lower dose and nothing on the 5mg. My pharmacist recommended i take a week off and then start wegovy on 0.5mg.
It's a lot cheaper which is great, I just hope it works. I have 6 stone left to lose

I was on 0.25 for 6 weeks and now on 0.5. Very slow loss but I prefer it as I feel it’s staying off. Have definitely felt the reduction in appetite, and also not wanting to drink as much wine. Not sure how much further I want to go dosage wise. Will see how I feel close to the end of 0.5 which will be in about 3-4 weeks.

I thought I’d ordered munjaro but ended up with Wegovy. It’s been really good. Minimal side effects. My friend on munjaro has lost weight quicker, but had more side effects.

Am feeling disappointed as two weeks in and heavier, I know it’s early days but I’m feeling nothing different

Ive been on wegovy since 7the January, just took my first 0.5 dose last night. So far ive steadily lost, 7.6kg altogether so far. Aiming for 20-25kg.
Im finding it grand, except that I cant drink alcohol on it. No harm in that though. No other side effects really. I can still eat and as long as I drink water with my meal, I feel full on much less food.
