Only got one week of Mounjaro left :( What to do next?

I wish I’d known and I’d have ordered my next pen (15mg) in advance. I only have one more week of 12.5, two if I use the golden dose which I’ve never actually done before.
Hectic week at work so I haven’t yet researched possible next steps. Would really appreciate your advice. Mounjaro has been far from a miracle cure for me, but it still feels like my safety blanket has been ripped away - same with many of us - and I’m terrified of gaining the weight lost.

@jmsaI absolutely empathise with the stress of all of this. What does your current pharmacy say about stock levels in future? Or any other pharmacies that you might have ordered from in the past?

Do you have the money to order another one before the end of the month at least? Obviously the gap between pens was going to happen anyway.

Are you a high enough bmi to swap to a cheaper option after then?

I have the greatest of sympathy though. It’s been at the forefront of my thoughts this week working out what to do too. I’m just waiting to hear what most providers do and then see if I can afford the cheapest option.

It’s frustrating though isn’t it? We take control of something and then feel like it’s grabbed from us. I wish I hadn’t dithered so long before starting.

I do feel there should have been a longer run in for those of us already on it. Going cold turkey isn’t ideal, everyone knows that. Even if prices had immediately risen for new customers.

In the end I guess it’s a reminder that it’s sold as a commercial deal even if we’ve chosen it for our health.

I would definitely take the 5th dose. I put off doing that for months but eventually decided to give it a go. I wish I'd started doing it earlier. It's easy and saves me a lot of money.

Is your supplier out of stock? Or are you worried about the price increase? Sorry wasn't clear from your post.

monj.co.uk is still showing some in stock at 15mg.

Definitely use the 5th dose, why people put an entire dose in the bin is beyond me.

Thank you very much for your empathic replies, everyone. I’m not sure why I was catastrophising 😳 as I’ve just managed to order a 15mg pen. Yaay! Suppression for me has never been the greatest, so I’ve been really keen to try that particular dose. What happens beyond that pen, we’ll just have to see. But I’ll be extracting every last ml for sure!

I haven’t heard much, to be honest. I switched supplier after each new pen, as cost came before convenience for me. I think perhaps only Medexpress emailed about the changes.

I was concerned about both, but I wouldn’t be able to continue at doubled cost. At least we have until the beginning of September!
