Can't find mj in stock

I only have 2 doses left in my pen
I hadn't ordered before now as had to wait for pay day
But now I can't find any chemist with mj in stock
Why are people so selfish and panic buying 😩

People blaming the pharmacies stock management don't seem to realise that they found out about this at the same time you all did. A 'normal' day at work suddenly went crazy with no extra staff/ resources to deal with a crazy number of orders, calls and emails. Angry / downright rude customers, demands for extra stock and future prices, trying to come up Wegovy switch advice, wholesalers bumping prices throughout the day (even before the manufactures prices have actually increased) due to demand, some automated order/ email systems that were still letting multiple orders go through at a loss/ without stock in place. It's been awful and no wonder some have simply stopped trying to respond to calls or emails while they try and get on top of things.

Not many people are currently getting this on the NHS for weight management, some areas have started rolling out access but this is likely to slow progress. NHS pharmacies have to buy their stock in before they can claim for the prescription cost the following month so cant afford high cost stock sat on shelves, the propsed NHS rebate will still have a lag between dispensing and claiming with potential huge cash flow consequences for pharmacies. It's slightly better for private prescribing in that the payment can be taken from the customer before ordering stock but pharmacies absolutely aren't enjoying this situation at all!!

I’ve just got a delivery today from Farmacie & 1 coming tomorrow from IQ doctor ,
both 12.5 pens , both significantly more expensive than I paid 6 weeks ago , there is deffo stock out there , you just have to invest some time looking and be prepared to pay a little more than previously .

It’s not panic buying thays what it is called when people fear a shortage. People have been bulk or multi buying ahead of the significant increases, which is a prudent financial decision. However the manufacturer then restricted stock levels till post the new prices, so pharmacies couldn’t replenish. The fact you can’t get product is not the fault of those who bought a couple of pens in advance. No one needs to buy just one pen and pay much more in a few weeks, so others can have product too. No one knew the manufacturer would withhold stock. And even if they did, they still don’t need to say gosh it’s ok I will pay 100 more a pen so others can get some too.
