Hands up if you’re considering a swap to Wegovy(Ozempic)?

I’m very fortunate in that I reached my goal last year and have been at target for 8 months now, taking a maintenance dose of MJ

I had planned on staying on MJ for the foreseeable future and probably still will. I can potentially absorb some of the price hike but it would definitely be a reach: and so I’m considering switching to a maintenance dose of Wegovy.

What is everyone else planning to do? I’ll wait until all the furore dies down - it’s like the Wild West over on the Oushk group and I’d prefer to wait until I actually know what it’s going to cost before making a decision

I'm going to use up my reserve pens (always had due to ordering every 4 weeks but taking 5 doses a pen) which should see me reach goal weight, and then attempt to titrate down/off MJ. I've accepted this will be expensive in the early weeks but as the doses get smaller the price will reduce.

I'd originally thought I was a 'lifer' on this drug but the new prices mean that's not going to be so I shall try to come off and see how I go.

If it works = great. If not then wegovy here I come. Though I'll be very sad if I have to wait until I've gained some weight back to be eligible. I'm hoping I can find a way forward with Oushk and their maintenance plan.

I’m wondering how many people will be stretching their pens - you could get 10 2.5 doses out of a 5mg pen….and what the effects of that will be!

oushk have confirmed people can switch over with little hassle (subject to being reviewed of course) so that’s something

I'm considering this too OP. I'm in the exact same situation as you. I've had a look at the maths - I'm on 5mg mj which oushk suggested might go up to around £180, the comparable dose of WG is now £130 from oushk. However Google tells me you don't get the 5th dose with WG so I don't know if it's going to be a huge saving. I will see how it all looks with maintenance discounts etc with mj V wg and then make a decision.

I happen to have a couple of pens gathered up which us unusual for me so I have time. I'm not in a position to purchase before the deadline of the 1st Sept anyways due to being on holiday, so unable to accept a delivery.

I'm considering it for maintenance. I'm not there yet though so I'd prefer to stick with MJ until I get to goal. Mainly because it's working and I'd rather get the weight off before I start messing with it.
I haven't made a decision yet, I'll look into it over the next few months and see how I feel. In the meantime, I'll shop around for the best deal I can to keep the cost down.

I’m with MedExpress and they have emailed customers strongly suggesting a move to Wegovy instead. It’s so disappointing as I’m only on week 11 and steadily losing with MJ. I think I’ll wait until things settle before I decide
