I’ve just ordered my first dose of 2.5mg Mounjaro, I had a c section in February and whatever I do I just can’t shift the weight.

Ive heard mixed stories from people being on Mounjaro and I’ve done some research but just wanted to see if anyone had any stories they can share of when they started it?

Do you feel really ill from it or is that just a scare tactic that people use to stop you from going on it?

I have been on it over a year and had minimal side effects.

The only time that I have had an upset stomach was when I overdid the fatty food and cocktails on an all inclusive holiday.

MJ is amazing, but it is a tool to support weight loss, you can't just trough loads of chocolate and the weight falls off (which is what some people believe).

Good luck.

Stories will be mixed, because how people respond is mixed. Side effects like nausea and diarrhea can affect around 1 in 10 people, most often when starting or moving up a dose. People tend to only post about issues they're having rather than everything going well, so what you read will be skewed towards the negatives.

I have been on Mounjaro for 57 weeks now and have lost 9st 5lbs ish, so far. I have not had any side effects for about 9 months now. I had some when on the second week or so of 5mg, and again on the second week or so of 7.5mg. Digestive issues, some diarrhea and stomach pain, but only for a day or two and then it settled down.

I feel absolutely fine on it now, better than fine, I feel so much happier and content in myself. I am massively fitter than I was, it's like night and day. I used to plan for as little walking as possible, I'd stay sat down at home, just really not very mobile at all. Now, I run three times a week, I walk for fun and plan more walking into my day wherever I can. I get loads more done around the house just because it's so much easier to move. My blood pressure was high even when on medication, it's now down to optimal and if it goes any lower then my medication will need to be reduced or stopped. I wear clothes that I like, and can buy clothes from any shop I want to now, rather than wearing whatever covered me up the most and was available in size 22 or 24. I let myself be photographed rather than ducking out, and I am consciously trying to be in more photos with my children. So many positives for me.
