Advice please on which WLI to try

hello,

i’m seeking advice from users with experience on which WLI I should try. I am a type2 diabetic, diet controlled but honestly I’m not exactly controlling it well right now. I have struggles with fitting in exercise and I am ashamed to say but I have issues around food and use it as a form of negative control and I suppose as a way of self harm.

in short my life and health is a mess. I am very obese, I thought I had done well to lose 2.5st by diet control but then had to take another job where I am sitting all day.

in my position I am wondering which injection I should try to purchase. I am on the progesterone pill for contraceptive, but can come off this if needed.

This link is a reasonable comparison between the two main WLIs, Mounjaro is by far the most popular for weight loss as in trials it was more effective with fewer side effects, but if you are diabetic it might be worth a discussion with your Dr to get their advice.

Oral contraceptives or HRT are an issue when initiating treatment, or the first 4 weeks of dose increases. But that is also explained in the patient leaflet, or you can find the info easily.

Look at monj.co.uk for safe online pharmacies and prices to buy privately from.

Any specific questions after reading lots of posters here will be able to help.

Hello @WeAllHaveWings thank you so much for taking time to give me a detailed response. I will read through these links. I suppose it would make sense for me to speak to my GP as well, just so scared of how crap I have been doing and the inevitable telling off. In a very fragile state at the moment my life is a mess. Thank you again for your help
