Happy 1st birthday to us all - somewhere in this month we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

the amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+

in a year or for some 11-11.5mths - I was middle of August - we have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

some are at goal - and working out how to maintain

some nearing it

some still have weight they want to lose

Some have stopped for cost / various reasons and blowing baby dust your way to those who are ttc

but ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

maybe if brave - post your before and after pics to see how far we have come in a year

Which ones @Azuresky68

Navy ones?

FurForksSake · 26/08/2025 00:06

@Blondeshavemorefuni have always had spaniels ears, I couldn’t breastfeed due to insufficient glandular tissue. Now my snoopy droopies are just indescribable.

but I’d rather be saggy than obese.

but also when I look at people around my age who haven’t ever gained weight and i see their lovely arms and legs or a tummy in a bikini I feel pretty sad that I did this.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/08/2025 00:10

We all did this to ourselves @FurForksSake. For whatever reason. Eating as contented /unhappy

but we did something to change it and I’m so glad we did but just wish I wasn’t so saggy. I used to have a nice pair of boobs

but yes better to be like this then how the before pics show me as I was so fat - just didn’t see/reliese it

and I Honestly don’t think I would have lost the weight if still with dh. Being a single mum gave me the motivation of needing to lose weight for dd

FurForksSake · 26/08/2025 00:24

I honestly used to think I was resigned to just having a heart attack or stroke.

at the family party no one asked how I’d lost weight, I did lose a lot of weight once before following skinning world. But this time, no questions. I said to DH that perhaps my SM had told people about the MJ. Or they just didn’t care how I’d lost it. But I felt a bit embarrassed that they might know that I’ve been using meds. And he quite rightly pointed out that I’d saved my own life by doing so and there’s nothing to be ashamed about that.

your daughter is lucky to have you blondes. Showing her how to look after yourself and be happy and confident.

I know what you mean about before photos, I don’t own a full length mirror and refused a lot of photos. But honestly looking at my starting photos I had no idea how round I was. I was taking bad photos to get accepted for the meds thinking I needed to do that, when I was plenty big enough. I never, ever thought I was as big as I was.

Usernamechangeforthis12 · 26/08/2025 05:14

Wow, such incredible photos and changes - massive well done everyone.

I’ve been quiet recently and had pages to scroll through to try and catch up. Struggling to sleep as so much is worrying me, starts small and then just keeps going. I need to try and control it but no idea there to start. So much to do too.
You may remember DS and his girlfriend were split up by her parents, because her new best friend told some stories. Well now the friendship is over and she’s spreading nasty stuff on SM. Clearly a troublemaker and DSs heart was broken because of her. I know he’ll get over it but worry about how those lies and the threat of police will affect him…
DD is due to start 6th with a girl who has bullied her and made her the butt of all jokes throughout secondary- how do you get some out of Stockholm Syndrome?
DS2, despite my fight for help and support from the school, he didn’t write anything more than his name on his exam papers!
And then I have work which just makes me want to cry….
despite everything, I’m maintaining but panicking that my 2 spare pens are not going to last forever…..

PoemsForTea · 26/08/2025 05:52

@Usernamechangeforthis12 It's such a worry when they are breaching adulthood and we still want to protect and fight for them. That gut knotty anxiety is exhausting. Please be kind to yourself ❤️

Azuresky68 · 26/08/2025 09:51

@Usernamechangeforthis12 so sorry you are having such a hard time on so many fronts. Sending best wishes to you 🤗

morbidcuriosity · 26/08/2025 09:51

I'm not holding out much hope for my Iq Doctor delivery so I've just ordered from juniper, apparently you can cancel after your first pen, bloody hope I can..
Anyone else order from there? Wanted to get another in before Sept.

Azuresky68 · 26/08/2025 10:06

Morning all. Going out for a walk soon. I had 4 steroid injections last Thursday but sadly they haven't kicked in yet...still on codeine.

@Blondeshavemorefun and @FurForksSake I know what you mean about sags and wrinkles..I can finally wear lovely clothes but in a bikini it's all there to see..wrinkly arms and thighs and as for my boobs...what boobs!
I felt a momentary sadness thinking how nice it would have been to be this weight all my life but turned it around and thought....
Well I could have stayed the fat version of me for the rest of my life...and probably suffered health problems as a result.

PS I had a sneaky weigh in and i am a few ounces below my target...been eating barely any carbs. I know the weight will spring back on as soon as I eat carbs so being strict until next Monday as we are away for a few days in Yorkshire. Will stay on the right track while away
Hopefully maintaining after that.

FurForksSake · 26/08/2025 10:52

@Usernamechangeforthis12i am sorry things are so difficult. Can you get the gp to sign you off with stress for a couple of weeks so you can regroup? My sleep is often awful for a myriad of reasons and I find sleep stories on the calm app really help. If you have lots of thoughts when you lay down then keep a notebook by the bed and write them down. Externalising them can be very helpful. https://talkingtherapies.berkshirehealthcare.nhs.uk/media/109514932/gsh-05_v1_worry_june2023_final.pdf worry management techniques may be helpful. It’s quite straightforward and you can work your way through it at your own pace.

well done for maintaining, that’s wonderful.

FurForksSake · 26/08/2025 10:53

@Azuresky68ooh go you! Below target! I need to weigh myself, after my indulgent weekend I’m sure I’m further away from 8st7 than nearer!

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/08/2025 12:10

@Usernamechangeforthis12 sorry life is tough at the moment 💐💐 we are all here to listen /support you

@Azuresky68 few oz below. Well done. My scales only say stone lbs .

I have ordered from Juniper and will cancel once the pen arrives. I hear that they then offer discounts to encourage you to stay, so I might play them against oushk to save money. I am reluctant to leave oushk because of the maintenance plans. I want the option to restart if I struggle when I come off.

I'm mid-forties, perimenopause is likely to make maintenance challenging and I do not want to regain this weight.

Slimhopes · 26/08/2025 12:24

Sorry you’re having worrying times @Usernamechangeforthis12 . It always feels worse at night and often we worry about the things that don’t happen or don’t turn out as bad as we feared. I hope for easier times for you all.

I’ve had my delivery from Cloud today - the low dose bundle (7.5;5&2,5) so now have all the doses to work through but then will go it alone without MJ mid March . I feel scared even looking at the lower doses as I’m hungry on 15mg but I am at v low calories still . One more pound to target of 8st but part of me struggles with the thought of starting maintenance and not continuing to try to lose as that’s what I’ve been doing for so long now .
i had got lucky with Cloud as I’d ordered late on the day that the price increases were announced and I’d not been a customer of theirs before. So ordered 14/15th Aug and arrived today. I’ll have to make this work as I can’t financially keep going long term with MJ - and I can’t replace my wardrobe again !!!

20bloodypounds · 26/08/2025 12:27

@FurForksSake @Blondeshavemorefun @Azuresky68 my SIL in her 60's has pert boobs, is incredibly slim with a flat abdomen, and pale unwrinkled skin. But... she didn't (couldn't) have children, had melanoma in her 20's so stays completely out of the sun, had thyroid cancer (needed surgery and subsequent homone treatment), and had breast cancer with a double mastectomy and reconstructive sugery. Against that I'll gladly accept my body with all its imperfections (and there are many!).

@Usernamechangeforthis12 teen to adulthood is such a difficult period to navigate. I'm watching my dgc go through it, and it doesn't get any easier with different generations. When my own dc was being bullied and was suicidal I felt so lonely, and like that period would never end. But it did, thank goodness Flowers

Motnight · 26/08/2025 14:25

I've just had the zava order I made on 16th approved, it should be with me by the end of the week. So it will have been a fortnight. I have immediately ordered 2 more pens. I can't face the uncertainty around both the finances and the actual delivery.

WorriedRelative · 26/08/2025 14:26

Well that was depressing, just did my measurements and put them through a couple of calculators.

BMI is now healthy
Waist to height is now 0.49 (under 0.5 is "green" for healthy, over 0.5 is yellow for needs action/overweight, over 0.6 is red or obese)
Waist to Hip is still 0.85 (which is bang on the boundary between "overweight" and "obese", below 0.80 is "healthy")

I shall use this as evidence for why I should have a lower goal weight. In fact I may need to adjust my goal. Based on my current hip measurement I need to shift another 4cm at least from my waist!!!

Ah good. I ordered with them in the 16th and nothing since so 10 days ago

so hopefully will get something from them soon

in just relived I ordered before holiday and was delivered once home so have 4/5w of it

hopefully by then all this madness will be finished as have on order a 15 from ousck as all I could get - and 10 from curate and iq but neither seem to be appearing

Superdrug and med express said no as bmi too healthy

many say about juniper but seems you pay top whack for 15 then they reduce payment to what pen you have

anyone tried them

OP posts:
morbidcuriosity · 26/08/2025 14:49

@Blondeshavemorefuni didn't think IQ were gonna pull through so today I ordered with juniper as well. You pay 114 . A 2.5 I think them pay the top up of what strength you want.. so order a 2.5 them they ask you more questions and you can get 10mg or 15 whatever u want.. had to send pics and pic of box.. am waiting to here back, but I've heard they quite quick.. I wanted to make sure I had a few pens..
Go for it, might as well as we know the price is gonna go up so might as well take advantage of now, takes about 10 mins to go through the questions etc..

poppym12 · 26/08/2025 14:56

I'm amazed at the low weights you're all achieving/hoping to achieve! I'm not sure I've been 8 stone anything since I was at school and I never thought I was overweight during most of my adult life (usually btw 9st12 and 10st4) - but maybe I was and never realised......

I still don't have a target apart from 'a few more pounds' which will keep me at or slightly under 11.5stone. I'm concerned that this won't be sustainable, nevermind getting and keeping another stone off.

I'm not able to order any more pens so after 4 more weeks at 15mg, I'll be working down through the pens I have left.

I've been kinda bored with it for a while now too as I never really fancy any particular food, nor do I enjoy it when I eat it. I'm currently only enjoying rice, fruit and chocolate toffee. Obviously that's not all I'm eating but I've gone off cheese, don't eat bread much, the thought of a roast dinner makes me feel sick and I've eaten so many salads I can't be arsed anymore.

You lot are bloody lovely though ❤️.
