Accidentally gave 2 doses

Hi I decided to start wegovy, first one today, I done the first dose of 0.25 but i didn't really feel the needle go into stomach so thought I hadn't done it right ( is that normal that it feels the needle is very short and not going in?) so I done again 🙄 and I think I may have given myself 2 doses of 0.25 for the first time trying it, is anything likely to happen? Will I have to order a week earlier now? I'm not really sure if I administered it right

I dont feel the needle going in either, its tiny. Also it clicks, then rattles, then clicks again. If you've done that twice you possibly have injected twice which is fine, but you may get more obvious side effects. I'm not sure if there's a way to tell how many doses are left in the pen, sorry.

I would contact your prescriber for advice. I don’t know how the Wegovy pens work, but your prescriber will and will be able to tell you how many doses are left in the pen. If the needles are anything like the Mounjaro ones, they are very short and fine and often you can’t feel it when you inject.

A double dose likely means you might get much stronger appetite suppression effects and you might get side effects. Try to keep hydrated and eating small amounts regularly.

You will also need to order the next pen sooner as you will only have 2 doses left, rather than 3.

It should be fine. When I started on Ozempic (over three years ago) I was started ion 5mg by my provider. Your side effects are likely to be more severe if you get any but otherwise you should be fine. You will need a new pen earlier so you will need to make sure you order in time.

The needles are very fine and you don’t really feel them so your first attempt was very probably ok.
