I had a dose from my current mounjaro pen on Saturday night and then put it back in the fridge where I usually keep it.

I am now going away (just by car) from tonight till Tuesday so I will need to take the pen with me.

Once it has been out of the fridge for 3-4.5 hours will I need to keep this pen at room temperature until it’s finished? Or can I put it back in the fridge and just take it out for driving there and back? I don’t have a ice pack or cool bag unfortunately but might be able to buy one.

My concern is that I live in a hot flat so once back home a heat wave might make it difficult for me to store it properly outside the fridge.

You can just put it back in the fridge.

Once you’ve used the pen once it lasts for 30 days (according to the manufacturer) and just needs to be kept below 30 degrees. You can drive with it, put it in a fridge (or not) when you get there, and bring it home and put it in a fridge (or not) when you get back. The only things to watch are that it stays below 30 degrees and is used within 30 days of your first shot.

Just put it back in the fridge.

The only things to be careful about are not over 30 and not freezing it. You’re fine!
